Gayatri is a chhanda or a method of versification consisting of predominately three lines of eight letters each.In this style we find many mantras of many deities.
Apart from the 8|8|8 Style which is predominant , Gayatri has around 10 other variants.
In Gita, Shri Krishna says that among all chhandas, He is Gayatri, thus the gayatri style of versification is considered most powerful.
Rig veda has 2456 mantras in gayatri chhanda.
A follower of any particular deity can chant His/Her Gayatri mantra 108 times daily.
The Mahanarayana Upanishad , Section One ,can be referred as it contains several gayatri mantras.

I have to state this does not make the body hot...the most amazing mantras that can raise body temperature to 40° and kill all diseases cannot be found on internet...only from a guru...there are such mantras but hard to get one...if you have it you need not practice any asanas or pranayama or mudras or bandhas...no yoga postures needed..some meditation after chanting is nice...just reciting something like 5 malas a day will lead to siddhi after 30,000 times and then just recitng one mala will make the body so hot that no disease can survive...what can be said...it has always been a world of secrets...the most powerful stuff does not get shared because it is too special...I'm sure many masters have died not passing on most of their amazing knowledge and only passed on a small fraction which people continue to pass down thru their family members
