I respect the nitro game that’s were I started 20+ years ago… But you’re crazy if you think you’ll ever beat a build brushless car even a rtr car is hard to beat.
Also I was looking at your setup, you should reroute the exhaust pipe, because when the exhaust comes out of the pipe and shoots out the oil it's going to hit your left rear tire and cause the car to spin out You should maybe consider getting an extension and having the exhaust come up away from the tire if possible... Just a thought

That stock "blue" pipe is so LOUD!! lol The first "mod" I did when I got my JATO was the 2 chamber pipe (my neighbors REALLY didn't like it at all... and it scared my son... lmao)
The OS .21 TM is a truck motor. It turns less rpm than the 3.3 does. But if you use the OS 11K carb on the 3.3 it wakes the engine up big time. My revo 3.3 rips wheelies with that set up.
i hate to be that guy but the stock traxxas motors are not worth the time of day lol, the os may not be advertised to turn more rpms but at the end of the day it will cuz traxxas lies about power and rpm claims, and os makes their engines out of far superior quality parts

Just a little thing I wanna say, and I could be wrong(I usually am)😂 but I’m pretty sure If you are trying to lower the idle, you wanna lean the low speed a little bit, to allow less fuel t get in at low and idle speeds, that’s how I tune my trucks like my jato and ten t and tmaxx(I have more trucks, but those 3 have a 3.4 with a os 11k, which is much better then the 3.4 carb) and they will idle for a full tank

Lean, idol down, check power in that order !!!

hey bro! great question. I used to own the very first Revo with with factory 2.5R motor. I will tell you its absolutely the same as a regular 2.5. The only difference is the 2.5r model came with the first blue cooling head for the revo model.
Hell yea dan y tood me to swap the tm carb to the 3.3 and holly hell did this thing wake up back to back 68mph!!! On stock tires and gearing! If i swap to foams and gearing I would whip the crap out of any arrma
Wanna kick it up even more? Have the os 21tm modded by a good modder (RB Mods does great work as he did my os 21tm on my revo), and if u want it stronger yet and louder go with an ERCM end bleed pipe (with a larger .21 stinger to match the os 21tm engine).. make sure u run also a good 30% nitro with 8-12% oil content (I use Bones Brew 30% nitro 10% oil with an ercm small block pipe on truggy bleed for my modded os21tm powered revo 3.3.. it's loud and strong!).. amazing jato btw!
Any updates on this yet? Also, shouldn't you use a 1/8 scale/big block pipe for the 21TM? Maybe you/Dan could do a comparison with different pipe use .Thanks for the vid

I thought about the larger pipe as well so you bring up a good point, these motors are designed to be direct droppings for all Traxxas vehicles and almost no one really installs a larger pipe. Hey hybrid, getting back into the nitro hobby and a buddy dropped off a jato. Had a question what makes the trans shift into second? This one after i got her running seems to be very rich. Never had one that had two speeds so was listening never heard it shift but the carb needs some tuning . Any help would be great . Thanks James
Hey buddy, thanks for checking out this video. The front wheels are from one of the Traxxas drag cars you could easily find them online. The rear wheels are mickey thompson drag slicks normally used for the drag cars.
yes bro, there is a version of the OS21 tm with the t-maxx manifold. I've linked one in the description to this video with the revo manifold, but there is one there also with the t-maxx style exhaust header also. It's the best direct fit motor for the traxxas products, and you dont need a big block motor mount kit either.

But I will agree jato is very good platform for speed handling I use to hate Traxxas I don't care mutch for the 3.3 but everything I use to run ened up with o.s engine

If I had to guess.. it's a Novarossi header or THS Racing header made for nitro rustler or similar cuz I had 2 Novarossi headers.. one in a long tube design I sold to a buddy for his nitro slash, and other is a short one I kept for my 2.5 powered rc10gt as a future install when the 2.5 kicks the bucket)

Totally agree. The right motor and right lipo battery on a brushless car and they are wicked fuckin fast

I just got a new motor for my 2021 jato again. And it’s my 3rd one again. I replace 6 motors now

I'm looking for a good all terrain rear wheel/tire for my jato. Anacondas are uncontrollable off hot pavement. Any recommendations ????
I've got paddle tires on my jato works great on any off road surface. Plus a really good roost is a plus for me.
