Patty (Patty Duke) finds out that she's allergic to Cathy (Patty Duke), but how do you stay away from your best friend?
Season 1, Episode 30
Patty is horrified to discover that she seems to be allergic to Cathy. This is tragedy in the making. Patty and Cathy are not only cousins, they are the closest of friends as well. They do everything together and cannot bear to be parted from one another. But every time Patty comes close to Cathy, she goes into a sneezing fit. The only solution seems to be for the girls to stay far apart. They go to school at different times: they go out to different movies; they drink their ice cream sodas form separate tables. Cathy becomes an outcast from the crowd at Brooklyn Heights High School. Cathy seems destined for a life of loneliness until a simple but startling solution reveals itself.
