Thanks fox river. Ya it surprises me everytime I baton with it. It has held up well for a plastic hollow handle knife. Can't wait to get back out. Thanks for watching and hope the beaver dams are going well.

Grasshopper .your fire skills are getting Impressive. A steel knife is better than stone. If you can hone a knife In the field it will stay sharp. Even crap 420 steel will make a weekend,. For me I like mid grade steels because I like tune things up after every adventure.

Thanks Glenn. The 4116 German is pretty good for a cheaper steel. I do need to get back into practicing bow drill and flint n steel. Maybe do another video on a bow drill. Thanks for watching as always. Hope all is well💯👍😁

Stopped by from Olive Drab Alliance.
I have 2 of these knives.
    1 orange 1 black
    I like them alot.
I use mine around the campfire for curls and battoning.
Its always sharp and may have a slight bend in it.
The only thing I dont like is the rubber rings on the grip.
    Subbed

Ahhh thanks for subbing appreciate it much😎. Ya for the money when they were still making these Knives it was great. I'm really surprised how strong they are for being in plastic. Love cold steel.

Hi Scotty, good to see you out in the woods, even if it was only for the day. I can't wait to get out there too. Haven't had a chance to yet. I had a long weekend campout planned for the end of April, but it turned out to be a washout. Rained the whole time so I didn't go. 🥹 I'm surprised the knife held up so well. Hopefully you will be able to escape for an overnighter soon. God Bless.

Thanks Jeff. Sorry about your campout being cancelled. Hopefully we both can get out soon. The knife keeps on surprising me to how strong it is for a plastic hollow handle knife. Thanks for watching and see you in the next video😁💯

Strike the fire steel up by the swedge. It will strike from there. No need to grind a 90

A very nice video I enjoyed it. Not telling ya what to do, but when you were using that knife the way you were don't you think wearing a glove would've been a good idea. Better safe than sorry. You should always clean the spine after scraping fatwood, that might explain why you were having a problem getting sparks off the ferro rod. Please don't take what I said wrong.

    • @scottysurvival

Gloves would be very recommended for sure. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate the comment and watching. 😎💯👍

Yes it is mate👍💯. I don't think you get a place at 1k, but I do think at 100k you do. Hopefully one day that would be my dream then I can quit my day job and go full time doing this stuff.
