I took my flight from Delhi to Leh. The nearest airport to Leh Ladakh is Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, located in Leh. Several airlines operate flights to Leh from major cities in India, including Delhi. You can book a flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to Leh on airlines such as Air India, SpiceJet, and GoAir. The flight duration is around 2 hours. Keep in mind that the airport in Leh is at an altitude of about 11,000 feet above sea level, so some travelers may experience altitude sickness.
How to reach Ladakh
There are several ways to reach Ladakh:
By Air: The nearest airport to Ladakh is Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, which is well connected to major cities in India, including Delhi, Jammu, and Srinagar.
By Road: Ladakh can also be reached by road, either via the Srinagar-Leh Highway or the Manali-Leh Highway. The Srinagar-Leh Highway is open from May to October, while the Manali-Leh Highway is open from June to September.
By Train: The nearest railway station to Ladakh is Jammu Tawi railway station, which is well connected to major cities in India. From Jammu, you can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Ladakh.
By Bus: Regular bus services are available from Srinagar to Leh, which can be reached by road via the Srinagar-Leh Highway.
Before planning to travel make sure you check the road conditions and take necessary precautions as the region is prone to heavy rainfall and landslides during monsoon and snowfall in winter. It's also important to note that Indian citizens require an Inner Line Permit to enter certain areas of Ladakh.

@@HappiestLifeIt's a courtesy by airlines and not by pilot. It's not that pilot wants to give food to everyone and airlines will fund it. Though whether to serve food or not depends on flight duration.
