Icmeler is more chilled out than Marmaris. It's lovely. But hey..definitely do the boat taxi, it will take you to more less tourist towns in the area like turunc

@@petenchelleuk I used to stay in marmaris I got married in 1999 there my hubby was Turkish had 9 years together but didn’t work out ,now I am older I fancied something a bit quieter but will be going to marmaris quite a bit as my sons staying there. My sons been a few times in the past few years and he said the changes are unreal from when we used to go.Think it was better in those times as along the sea front used to be stalls dotted along and then you had the market in marmaris which was nice but preferred the icemeler one, sadly they’ve all gone now although Turing still has one I believe ,but what you can buy in the shops you could get in markets.Been looking at prices and yes they’ve jumped massively although still reasonable. When I used to go I used to bring a litre of brandy back £2.50 200 cigs used to be £6 😳

@allycat5004 times have definitely changed and prices have certainly changed. Turkey is like everywhere else there's cheap and expensive in everything
