Turuzim, which started with Germans towards the end of the 80s, was filled with British people in the following years. Now it is possible to see people from all over the world. As a former resident of Icmeler, I remember those years very well.
Great videos Kevin I think we walked past you in marmaris harbour buddy marmaris is truly a amazing place lots of bargains to be had bring a empty suitcase but you have to have your wits about you they can be tricky gits. 😎👍
I use my Starling bank card in Turkiye in shops, restaurants, bars. It converts back to the exchange rate on the day without any bank charges. Brilliant. I use Euro sometimes in Kusadasi as lots of Irish there & Euros are requested I only take minimal Lira with me. £ Sterling asked for in Kaleici Antalya & Marmaris. 😊
@@ScotsmaninTenerife Thanks. I meant to buy stuff. I’ve never been to Turkey before and assumed I would need Turkish Lira but I’ve watched a few of your videos and goods seem to be priced in pounds, so just wondered if they took sterling cash. I will take both.
Lots saying not! Other videos. They're commenting their jumpers, clothes, sweatshirts etc are still fab after 10yrs? I buy in the stores in Turkiye, great value & good quality.😊

I found the Turkish people some of the nicest I`ve ever met.
Are you a blonde woman by chance
Why would you ask that?🤔@@TN2022c
Turkish men, you mean. And they smoke like chimneys. 👍
Try the waterfall restaurant it's absolutely stunning
Great video going in September to the idas hotel is a good one
Just back from Oludeniz. It was scorching but very lovely. I wouldnt go back due to the late flight times. 👍
Anybody notice the mint mark 5 cortina outside the Chinese/Indian place.
Class
Used to be an old green mercedes parked up near the centre of town every summer season, dunno if its still there these days.
Looked like my 1st car

Great again
Meant to say the waterfall restaurant was built around an actual waterfall it's in icemler
Don’t pay in sterling that’s a schoolboy error. Pay in lira.
True, much cheaper
Great vid
Had a lovely meal there
Dalaman side is mostly £ as it’s more British. Go down Antalya way and it’s all €
Thanks Kevin.

Great tip!
Thinking of going to Turkey on our next holiday so this is really informative! Just come back from Benidorm .. how does it compare?
Depends what you like , beaches and entertainment lot better in Benidorm
😇😇
I see all prices in pounds. Some british tourism over there?
Yip
£5 shop is the price I paid in 2001 for shirts
Euros mainly in Kusadasi. I can haggle better in Euro lol😅
I hope that you can all imagine that the clothing for sale like 500 pairs of left footed socks for 1 pound 23pence is of the highest quality.
So, silly question here. Can I hand over ten British pounds in cash or is it by bank card. I will be there on Friday. Yippee!
Best to use cash to buy stuff , the ten pounds entry fee is scrapped now wasn't sure if u meant that .
