- Ex-My American Heart member, Brian Warren, stopped by for a quick session a couple of weeks ago. We were able to finish it in one take, and then proceeded to wait for the next 30 minutes for his van to get back from paying a NYC parking ticket.
Weatherbox is currently on tour with Stegosaur and Look Mexico.
This is a hidden gem of a video right here
He is so beautiful. All his songs make my heart so warm
Best version of this song. So much more emotion than the album version
I kinda enjoy this more than the album version. I hadn't heard it since before the album came out and listening to it again made me realize how much more personality is in this version of the song
This song sparked alot of conversations...says something good about this song!
very enjoyable and relative brain. op description also made me lol to our bad luck. happens. live on bros
Oh my god, I'm in love.
I can't stop jamming to this.
i play this song in DADF#AD and the play open strings other than the sixth string which only reallly uses the 5th, 7th, and 9th fret. sounds about right to me.
very good way to spend six minutes
dig the shoes the shirt oh and the song
@tkeys0 it's lower than D, the guitar's tuned down a whole step, the E becomes a D, tune the rest of the guitar standard to that, then drop your D to a C, it's drop C tuning.
@dodongowhoever it's lower than D, the guitar's tuned down a whole step, the E becomes a D, tune the rest of the guitar standard to that, then drop your D to a C, it's drop C tuning. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure my ears are right!
not sure what tuning this is in but the secret is DAD-FAY (E-A-F#-D-A-D). Works well for D major and A major equally well.
@CautionHWM he played it by himself when I saw them, just like this video. The only difference was that it was on an electric (his '72 telecaster reissue). I have a full video of it, but was holding out on posting it due to the fact that brian hadn't yet. but now that it's out, I wonder if I should post mine?
this song fucking rocks. they played it in lawrence, ks feb 2010
@robbieblack111 no need for hate friends. let's just all agree that this song is great. that's all that we need to talk about here- spread the love, come on.
shit! forgot about this. I will post my video of this song this weekend. sorry for keeping everyone waiting :]
I'd bet on it that he asked if he could sleep on the couch after the session!
"Hey bro... would you mind if I crashed here tonight?"
Most laid-back & relaxed musician of all the Pink Couch Sessions.
That's not stereotypical at all. Wow he has long hair - a lot of people do. Lmfao get over yourself
Aerial Mcclam he's not being rude, he's just saying he is laid-back so he was making a joke about how laid back he was. he wasn't saying anything about his hair.
+Mentalitarium def a bit rude to assume like that. i don't think hes homeless at all but even if he is im sure hes got a pure soul and if he thinks ahead just cover that ass covered couch with somethin : ) G_G
***** I just don't think he was referring to the hair, he was referring to how laid back he seems. I can see it being a little rude but I don't think he meant it in a bad way at all.
i understand where ur coming from haha very valid point mang i suppose i've got long nappy dark brown hair i got feels from the shit talk
@CautionHWM When I saw them last month, Brian opened their set with this song by himself. It's not so much a Weatherbox song as it is one of Brian's songs... I don't think he intends it to be a full band song.
@TealnBone POST IT!
I love this band and their music, and I love the fact that the lyrics caused such a reaction in people that it caused a debate about religion and beliefs, I mean if it didn't then what's the point? Anyway, lovely lovely song.
@MagicalGreenDragon
just look at the barre chords he's playing and try fingerpicking until it sounds right
At the end of the what?
just joshin wit ya.....
your right hand looks like a swimming octopus.
I wish I could figure out the tuning and notes to this song. I'm guessing it's open D tuning?
Arrrgg. If anyone knows please tell me!
@TealnBone post
I wonder what its like to believe in the afterlife........
@TealnBone yeuh
@poluan @CautionHWM @bobert0808 @shanesterMUD it's up! :D

@sithlordsolathos I wouldn't be looking back on my life with regret. I was just defending my case. Whoever was conversing back and forth with me earlier felt that religion is a waste of time and that I would regret that I invested my life in Christianity. I was just making a point that if I died and there was nothing after, then I wouldn't be able to look back on my life in regret.
@MrBertrandable Well...If my religion is wrong, then Oh well...I lived my life how I felt I should have and that's just it...And if there's nothing after we die, then how would I be able to look back on my life in regret. I'm not wasting my life by believing in a God and serving Him. We all have a choice to believe in what we want to believe and do what we want to do. Personally, I believe that there is a God and I choose to serve Him with my life. You may not believe that and that's okay.
@dodongowhoever open C
is this just in drop d?
looks like the kind of couch that people like to bone on
bwian
@joelgmurray HAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!
The only problem with that "fact" is that the Muslim faith branched off of Abraham's illegitimate son, Ishmael, who, according to Scripture, God blessed with a great nation (Islam), but God's real covenant would be everlasting and with Isaac, Abraham's other son. In the Bible, it states that God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, NOT Ishmael. Also, later in the Bible, Job has friends who come from Ishmael's line who tell him to give up on God. So, is it truly the same God in all three?
@robbieblack111 There are many different religions and beliefs in the world. One of them is going to be right in the end. Once you die there are no second chances. Whatever you believe in this life is what counts for eternity. By not having faith in anything right now and believing that there is no God, you risk spending eternity in Hell. There's more to this life than just "Us." There's a God that created us and loves us. There's either an eternal home in Heaven or an eternal home in Hell.
@MrBertrandable I'm not trying to argue. But, how about you give us proof that there is no God?
FUN FACTS: Allah is the arabic word for God, and is in fact the same god as in christianity and judaism.
CGCGCE
ha stop arguing about religion, which is a pointless argument, and enjoy a fucking great song
Sorry. This song still wins over your paragraph.
lyrics are nice. but the guitar playing is pretty annoying and repetitive.
