    I flew NH107 and NH108 from SFO-HND and HND-SFO on ANA’s “The Room” and it was astounding!

    The longer the flight, the more appealing premium economy is. I flew economy on Singapore Airlines from SFO to SIN non-stop and the 15 1/2 hours is brutal. One perk about special meals on any airline is you'll get the food first.

      Oh definitely! The legroom is much improved over economy class on ANA!! I've always been curious to fly that Singapore route. Yes, I did forget to mention that special meals are served first!!!

    Finally serving a proper dessert! I’m considering what airline to fly next year. I’ve flown ANA business class and United old economy. I’m glad Premium Economy or Premium Plus is an option since I don’t have enough miles. Enjoy your videos.

      I think ANA Premium Economy is a great way to go!

    Is this the 2-4-3 configuration in economy 777? How many inches does the seat recline in the premium economy? Is it a fixed shell seat or does it actually recline?

    • @diningwithderek
      @diningwithderek  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was a 2-3-2 configuration. I do not remember the exact seat recline but it was comfortable. It is not a fixed shell seat. Also important note: this route is currently serviced by their updated configuration on the 777-300ER. Here is my review of their updated premium economy which I prefer: th-cam.com/video/_yJOjMg9FqU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xBVnIjZCL_S-Wa3X

      @@diningwithderek I have a flight for Aug 29 Tokyo to SFO and its showing a 2-4-3 economy config. which seems to be the old config. Thinking about upgrading to PE but it seems difficult to find which PE seat is actually on this old config 777-300ER.

      Ah, that is unfortunate to hear. I do believe that they tend to change the planes sometimes. It does sound like they have the old layout on the plane. I still think the upgrade to PE is totally worth it (lounge access, legroom, and the preordered meal). If you want the preordered meal I think you have to book it at least 48 hours before departure. Personally I love the window seat which is what I would recommend booking. Let me know if you have any other questions and tell me how it goes!

      @@diningwithderek Thank you. Did the old PE seat recline as much as the newer one?

    • @diningwithderek
      @diningwithderek  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not recall but it did have a decent recline.

    Wow so many yummy food choices! I want to try the chicken curry and the meat patty! Premium economy looks like a great choice for long, international flights. Welcome back to the U.S.!

      Oh the lounge was absolute heaven and completely changed the airport experience! Premium economy was amazing and really helped with the long flight!!!

    So how do you get the higher quality food exactly, you just order in when ever you want during the flight and pay them about 20$? Or is that to be pre-ordered beforehand? Thanks, great video :)

    • @diningwithderek
      @diningwithderek  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To have the nicer meal you need to preorder in advance before the flight. Make sure to reserve it multiple days in advance to ensure you can order it. Note that this meal is only on flights out of Japan. Hopefully this helps!

    Looks so comfortable, and the food looks delicious. I'm an Israeli, in America. The quality of Asian airlines is so impressive to me. I'll be going SFO to HND very shortly, and I'm looking forward to the Premium Economy experience.

      I love Asian airlines as well (much better than US carriers). Premium economy is definitely helpful for a long flight like this. I've heard HND is a nice airport so hopefully you can spend some time there. You'll have to let me know how you like the Premium Economy experience!!!

    I'll have my first flight from paris to tokyo with premium economy and i was wondering how much time you guess it takes at an bigger airport? Also more important is food and beverages free im the Lounge?😂(also first time)
    Is there also possible to adjust meals because of health conditions or would you suggest to buy before boarding?

    • @diningwithderek
      @diningwithderek  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The time it takes at an airport will depend on the length of the security line. With the baggage drop, premium economy passengers get their own line. If you have access to the lounge, yes everything is free so enjoy it!! Make sure that if you have dietary restrictions you contact the airline. You may be able to request a meal that fits your health conditions through the airline website. If not then be sure to call the airline as soon as possible as they will gladly help you with your needs.
