And I just had a funny thought.... 30-40 yrs from now, (time passes faster than you can imagine, take my word for it)....if Jesus tarries, Cypress will look back on these videos and show his kids how their grandparents paid for his college. Okuma longitude 10ft surf rods are the best surf rods for banking cats! In the store they feel stiff but it's very deceiving. I've been able to control many just under 50 lb flatheads and blue cats with them and you can lob a good long distance but they're still sensitive enough to catch a 1 lb channel while quite affordable. The only thing I would change is I wish I had white or a good reflective color at the tip but that's easy enough to change. I'm interested in trying out the Okuma Komodo 400 size reel on this rod but baitfeeder spinning 8000 series pair very well.
I have an ultra light okuma aquador spinning rod and reel combo with a 1000 reel. I've caught several nice fish and bait fish. Okuma has good spinning rod and reel combos. 😊

With circle hooks you don’t set the hook you pull till you fill pressure and just wind in they set there self so. You can apply pressure to soon and miss the hook up. Good luck you 2
When you use a Circle Hook you don’t set the hook like you do when Bass Fishing. All you have to do is pick up the pole and start reeling. The hook sets in the fishes mouth, usually in the corner of the mouth. Jerking the pole pulls the hook out of his mouth.
