Every interaction between Imelda Goldfinch and Moc Weepe just kills me. Imelda gesturing for him to come inside the mission, pointedly ignoring his package? Hilarious. Weepe trying to compliment the flowers, being told they're fake, and immediately going 'they smell like shit'? Comedy gold. 😂
There are so many little unnerving moments that break the atmosphere all the backgrounds sounds lull you into. Sometimes, it's subtle, and sometimes, it makes all the other sounds fall silent for a moment, but I love it every time.
Well, we all knew something was brewing, and it looks like our storylines are set to collide in the worst possible way. Something big is going down, and I hope to see what kind of chaos will commence in the next episode.

Emelda Goldfinch already reminded me of Deloris Umbrage the first time she appeared. And now that we have official art of her I stand by that point😂. Tho I hate Umbrage, I love Goldfinch. She is such a sweet heart outwardly. She definitely hides a darker, more cutthroat part of her. Love the character.
I've just finished listening through all 9 episodes so far. I've got to say, this format is absolutely brilliant. I didn't expect it to be so fascinating, but I was curious to give it a try. Glad I did, cause now I'm hooked. Can't wait for the next episode! I'm really excited to find out where the story will be going.

I mean, he's not especially subtle. Mentioning the "secret cargo" then sauntering away with a lunatic grin on his face? Homeboy got fed exactly what he wanted to hear.
Obviously there's quite a few more episodes for me to listen to, but I would think that Atticus is about to report Weepe's activities to the Trust now that Weepe has an account opened, which would presumably saddle Weepe with an enormous amount of caenum debt.
This Notary is going to fleece Weepe for everything he's worth. And Concord will take the rest. If they get out before The Moon Thing happens... it may matter for them XD
It's possible. Concord is definitely there to ferret out all the dirty little secrets he can, and we only see him in connection with Weepe's secrets because he's one of the designated protagonists. I can definitely see someone getting trapped in a noose of Caenum because of something Concord found and delivered to Imelda.
I can't believe Mr Weepe is falling for this, I need him to be a bit more skeptical of the entire thing also that slight shift in Imelda's expression should tip him off big time. Imelda is very clearly evil and the valeur and caneum system is just indentured servitude/slavery. Also Concord needs to be careful because I can definitely see whatever his plan is backfiring on him. Anyways great show as always! Keep up the good work!

Fan Theory: No spoilers, just predictions. Each week I relisten to every episode, usually on spotify while at work. I heard this episode, and had this weird thought. In episode 1, someone who is described as very similar to Thatch emerges from an alleyway, blood on his spike-armoured fist, a dead body on the ground. Someone who is described as Lark is pulling a reluctant girl against the current of the crowd, likely Tzila. I think that, in order to lose his last black kynem bead, Thatch killed Fuse. And Lark's prediction was referring to her killing Sherman. I only found myself thinking this moreso after finishing the next episode, Trust.
Oh now don't get into the tangle of the valor system. It seems rotten to the core. Also love me a floating postmaster that is just described as 'gravitationally challenged'. That's fun.
Question to people who have been keeping up with Midst, from someone who hasn't started watching yet: What's the appeal? What do you look forward to? Genuinely curious, hoping for a reason to start myself
The characters are fascinating, and so well realised despite relative little time we spend with each of them. The episodes jump between different characters and storylines, it's very fun to spot the connecting threads and try putting the pieces together - by this point the storylines are starting to converge and I'm excited to see how it all connects. But for me the main appeal is the narrators, their dynamic and tone is really fun. It's kinda similar to why I like CR, in addition to the interesting plot there's an added layer of the interplay and banter between the storytellers themselves.

Though sometimes I get curious. Which way would it crash if a Total was found .
