    Justin is better off in Pitt, in absolutely loved Justin since the day Chicago picked him and I am so upset it didn’t work out, it isn’t his fault and he will be able to grow under Russ and really learn more than he ever could in Chicago. I hope Caleb turns out well, but I do hope if we play Justin he throws for 300 and runs for 150

      I liked Fields. I think he was done wrong in particular the supporting cast in the first two years and the whole offensive scheme the entire time.

    Not blaming the Bears at all. If you think Williams is generational, you have to go for it. That said, Williams does come with a number of red flags. Maybe he will be Mahomes, maybe he will be that QB from Texas A&M a few years back. Either way, this is going to be a compelling story.

    I feel that Caleb won’t turn out to be the best qb in the draft
    Look at the top guys in the league
    Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Hurts, Herbert, Burrow, Stroud, and Purdy.
    None of them went #1 overall except Burrow.
    These days any first round or any of the top rounds can have the best player in the draft.
    Amon-Ra, Isiah Pacheco, Puka Nacua, and Brock Purdy were all late round picks and are some of the best in their position
    So I think Caleb will be a starter, I just feel like one of the other QBs will turn out better.
    But that’s just my opinion
    Also I predict Burrow to be comeback player

    • @JustAnFootballGuy
      @JustAnFootballGuy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think if the expectation is for that guy to be the savior, and save the team when there is nothing there to work with, then they fail from the get go. Like Bryce Young. He played role in how bad they were, but man, he had thelien but nothing else, bad o line, awful scheme. That’s the perfect example of what not to do.
      I think this year’s Purdy is Sam Hartman, I get why people don’t like him. But idk, it’s that Gardner Minshew mentality that gets me every time.

    The Bears totally could've gotten a 4,000 yard season out of McMahon, since he was one of exactly 5 QBs in the entire 1980's decade to throw for 4,000 yards in a 12-game season (3 of those 5 were from BYU). BYU ran a spread, air raid offense that ran well on speed and tempo to simply overwhelm opposing defenses. The Bears have always been a rough, run-heavy team. McMahon was thrown into a system that didn't allow him to be elite like he was in college.

      Thats not even what the video is about man. I explain three things in the video,
      1 being the pressure that Williams is under with bears never having a hall of fame QB and everyone labeling him as a generational prospect.
      2 I go over his best strength and how that is why he will save the bears, given how he carried that USC team in multiple shootouts.
      3. I talked about how the media will go after him and the bears if justin fields looks good and he doesn't.
      The video really is about how much pressure Caleb Williams is under. I go on to say at the end of the video how I am optimistic given the supporting cast around the bears.

    I _was_ going to be nice about this: then you said "Justin Fields failed." This alone makes me doubt any ability you have in any aspect of making such videos.
    Harsh? I'll justify it. Where were you the first game Fields stared at an open receiver, hesitated, then stopped himself from passing the ball, looking spaced out? I (& everyone else watching likely) thought "maybe he got concussed & we didn't see it when it happened?" This was about week 4 or 5 of '22. Then the Bears didn't take him into the blue tent. Not after the play, the drive or even later in the game when he did this again.
    How could they _know_ he wasn't doing this due to concussion *unless he was* executing the plays as called? & sure enough, the haters all said at the time that "they needed to simplify the offense (for him)" for about two weeks before they realized that this made no sense.
    & it implicated the coaches. No Matter _WHAT_ you think, be it because Fields can't read defenses, if he can't read defenses *because* he's concussed, *it can not possibly be simpler to have to stop scrambling when defensive players don't stop chasing, get ready to pass, then have to start scrambling while looking for another open receiver under ANY circumstances.*
    So, what's the excuse going to be for this continuing for Over A Year? Did they keep a concussed QB in games for that length of time? Or did they continue to hand-cuff him intentionally? Surely anyone watching can't possibly think "him not throwing to receivers once open is helping us." So go ahead. Tell me how this is _Fields'_ failure. & that's just where this starts.
    Count how many plays you see o-linesmen allow pass-rushers Straight Through To Fields in just the first half of Week One th-cam.com/video/FiiK21VzI_o/w-d-xo.html (less than 25 minutes in) due to nothing but play-calling. The linesmen either sabotage each other or act like they don't see white jerseys & go untouched in ways we normally only see in videos about why they get benched. But not on the Bears. On the Bears you don't even get rotated out (due to obvious fatigue? No) or even reprimanded. This is intentional too.
    I ain't done yet. Who tf cancelled all the plays that made them the #1 offense in the entire NFL 3 weeks straight? Kim Jong-un? If you're gonna blame Luke Getsy for _ANY_ of this may I remind you, Eberflus is right there at field level every single game. If the excuse is gonna be that level of utter incompetence that he doesn't see how not passing to open receivers hurts his team, then you know where tf you can go.
    What _is_ this wilful blindness on everyone's part regrading Justin Fields? What do you gain from sitting back & allowing a franchise totally undermine the poor guys entire career this way?
    So to recap, he's the only QB who has ever been saddled with scrambling for his life while being told by His Own Coaches to not throw to open receivers, the only one to make a roster that terrible the #1 offense in the league _while_ being sabotaged by his own coaches, & his own o-line regularly allowing pass-rushers straight through to him All Damned Game _EVERY_ Game.
    & the failure is his? How? Tell me wtf you think Patrick Mahomes or Tom effing Brady could have done if _they couldn't_ pass to open receivers?

    • @JustAnFootballGuy
      @JustAnFootballGuy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You wasted a lot of time by taking what I said out of context. I could be wrong, but if I re-call right, I said Fields failed to be the 4000 yard passer, perhaps I might have added that he failed to be the guy for the bears, i don't remember saying that...
      He did fail to be a 4000 yard passer for the. That is just facts.
      If I made a video on how Justin Fields sucks and it's all his fault then I would argue your response is valid. But You don't know how i feel about justin Fields.
      But never did I elaborate on it, because this isn't a video on how The Chicago Bears Failed Justin Fields.
      Not to mention regardless if he was done wrong or not. Fields is not the guy and he failed to be the guy. The reasoning doesn't change the fact he wasn't.
      That being said
      I agree with a lot of what you said. I will add this past year the offensive line was solid and he had the No.1 WR and good speed/deep guy in mooney. The scheme was just not good in the beginning and the switched back to that Greg Roman style offense like they did last year. Getsy was a bad play caller to start and Fields was development was flawed.
      I appreciate you taking the time to comment your thoughts though. And I hope you stick around to watch more videos and I think at some point I will make a video on the Bears failed Fields, because thats how I feel.

      Buddy wrote an essay. No one is reading that. You took a small part of a quote and started to cry. Fields never threw for 4,000 yards after saying he would. That was a goal and he failed that goal. After reading your comment I come to suspect u shouldn’t be commenting about anything anymore

    • @ChewsCarefully
      @ChewsCarefully 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheRealJohnnyStorm I must have been tired when I wrote that. Here's better stuff: how many times does each QB here th-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/w-d-xo.html place the ball badly by inches or miles? Fields, 2 times by inches. Williams?
      10+ times by inches or miles, even when he isn't pressured. Because even his Terrible Passes look like Pretty Spirals as they fly through the air people allow this to color their perceptions. But fields is far & away the More Accurate Passer.
      It still might not matter if Caleb were going anywhere else. But there were basically three sets of offensive plays in CHI the past 2 years, the basic one they started '22 with (hand off the ball X3 toss a slant, repeat), the set Eberflus refused to answer questions about for weeks after he started it, & the ones that worked. These last came with the designed QB rushes.
      Someone cancelled those working plays twice because they were used in '22 then again late in '23. Since no OC can override their HC nor hide what's going on on the field from them, it was *Eberflus who cancelled* the plays that worked.
      & Williams has the Same Skill Set as Fields. See the problems?
      Williams' talent is based 100% on his college highlight reel. Fields' is better. So in a straight talent comparison, the Bears have downgraded. *Then* you have to either say Andy Reid & Kyle Shanahan are frauds or play-calling matters. then Eberflus is A Problem.
      Lastly, for anyone who still think "Fields can't read defenses" you can't _un-learn_ how to do that. So, th-cam.com/video/QuhUbISnr8s/w-d-xo.html he still knows how. always did.
      There's more, but you hate reading so...
