Burrow and the Bengals have always started slow to be fair

I haven’t heard much of anything on Burton not doing well at practice with the Bengals… As far as I know, he is still learning the playbook

I think the coaching has been good. The defensive coordinator who i cant remember his name off the top of my head, but he has been very good with what he has been dealt. Zac taylor is an unknown though and the offensive coordinator that left recently, he was outstanding.

Chiefs lost by 1 without Kelce or jones and lost to a team that was in the nfc championship, I think losing by six to THE PATRIOTS is way worse. The bengals super bowl window is closed

@@CocktailFlanagan Bengals have only been able to face KC in the playoffs twice first off. Second off, the Bengals have consistently beat KC in the regular season

You are missing the point that he has had one of the worst O-Lines since he came into the NFL. He definitely has had two #1 wide receivers though

The Bengals start slow and have picked up speed around halfway through. They should be all good. If it’s Week 10 and they haven’t gotten it together. Panic time haha

Yeah it’s crazy how well he has performed despite having such a bad Offensive Line… Honestly, I don’t see them losing to the Patriots as bad defeat. I was uncertain about their offense (Pats) but the defense has a lot of promising talent. The only uncertainty with the pats defense was losing Belichick. But seems like they will be just fine. All that to say it was a potentially elite defense they lost to. Plus the Bengals have always been known to start slow

He doesn’t have a MVP level comeback year then I guess? For any QB, you need a good O Line and good receiver core, and scheme. So if any of those is really bad or has a bunch of injuries then it might tank them. The Bengals did switch offensive coordinators and it might look rough for a bit. There wouldnt be evicted though if he played bad and the situation was good in front of him that’s for sure

I might just be a big Burrow guy in the end, but I really think he is that guy. Probably will take some time for them to start cooking again. @@NAT-turners-Revenge I couldn’t disagree more. Burrow was the driving factor for that Super Bowl Run. He was playing lights out football. He was still amazing in 2022 and usually after a superbowl appearance. Teams have shown to have a down year afterwards. Last year he was excellent after coming back from the calf injury. If there is a fair and legit criticism for Joe Burrow, it’s that he has had some durability concerns and he starts slow.

Burrow is great. You're forgetting that the Bengals were absolutely trash before Burrow. He was in one of the worst spots for a rookie coming to the NFL. He had little weapons his first year (the year he wracked up most of his losses), a bottom of the barrel OL, a trash defense and a 2nd year HC who a lot of people still think is mediocre at best.

Would a wyte qb with Winston’s passing yardage by his age be made a back up by age 27. It’s hilarious how espn/fs1 continue to cry racism for limited qbs like Justin fields and Lamar Jackson being criticized but completely overlooked the fact that a BLACK 5k yard passer in the 16 game era no less was a backup the very next yr
