Thank you so much Frank for this amazing job - for sure a huge effort !! Finally not clear to me, what i love more - The really damn good factory sounds, or your fantastically outstanding playing 😊🤘 Looking forward for your next updates - Have a good time !
One of the best players on YT....!!! Very nice and clear in every music style! But just a question: is the FM 3 capable, to do the ambient and synth sounds or must it be the FM 9 ......regarding the memory..... Thanks a Lot!!
You are a amazing guitar player! Thanks for your time and to give as a such a great time appreciating the presents and your solos! Keep going I just subscribed now!
Great video. It is clear how much you like music. I am on the waiting list for the FM9. Hope to get a mail soon that it is available to buy. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy the presets from your video's. Now I understand what people mean when they say that this unit has the best presets out of the box. I will be watching / listen to all the 383 presets from your video's. I hope Fractal will compensate you for this excellent work. They will sell more units for sure due to your excellent work.
I just subscribed, I loved this video and holy crap you're a good guitar player!! Do you just plug the fractal into a speaker cabinet or an amp? Does the original fractal have the same presets as the latest one? Thanks Frank, I look forward to checking out your other video's.
Thanks a lot Oliver. My Fractal goes straight into my audio-interface. Then into the DAW. I'm using my ADAM A7X Studio monitors. I'm showcasing the newest Fractal Audio factory presets (Axe-Fx 3, FM3, FM9). Cheers Frank
Hi Frank thank you for the time and effort you put into making this video for us, awesome guitar playing throughout. Would you provide the volume setting on you guitar generally throughout. I have just got my FM9 and was a little disappointed in the sounds I was getting. I use a PRS P 24 guitar with the volume rolled off to say to 60%. But even at full bore with input gain as suggested and levelling outputs playing through FRFR cab in mono I just can’t get close to your sound. I would appreciate any guidance to how you arrive at such a good sound. Cheers 😊
Hi dude, my pickups are low output. When I need a cleaner tone I reduce the volume on my guitar like on a real amp. Tell me one specific preset that sucks. Cheers Frank
Sorry dude. No tabs. Sometimes I play famous guitar riffs and sometimes I create my own riffs or musical ideas. I always try to create something that makes the preset sound good. Cheers Frank
Many thanks to you Franck for this great exploration - could you tell us how are we getting the sound ? from monitor speaker ? thanks by advance ! Cheers from France !
Thanks man. You can get a great sound from Monitor speakers, but for than Amp-like feeling you need some good FRFR speakers like Red Sound MF10. Cheers :)
are all these direct presets with in the FM3 Mk II Turbo Amp Modeler/FX Processor? I'm on the fence between the FM3 Mk II Turbo Amp Modeler/FX Processor or Boss GT1000 ... any thoughts?
thanks much for the reply ... you're an amazing and highly gifted guitarist ... definitely making me take more time before making any decisions between the FM3 and GT1000; mostly into ambient and David Gilmour type tones; thanks again!
Excellent video! You help me with a question. I have a slight background noise on my fm9 (like in your video when you finish a note). It feels a lot on input 1. When I connect my guitar to input 2 or 3, the noise is more acceptable. Is this normal?
Hi Cristian, I have almost no background noise. Sometimes I have very little or no noise gate in the input and when I use a compressor I have more noise. But this is of course no comparison to a real amp with pedals etc.. The unit itself is noise-free!
Just bought the fm9 about an hour ago and cannot wait. Sounds like it's going to be a big improvement over my current axe fx II. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Great playing by the way!
Hi Frank, first of all your video is awesome. I just bought a used FM3 because your video was too good! Unfortunately my sound really suck compare to yours. I reset the Fm3 to be sure and I am connected to my Audio Interface to play on my monitor and it's really not like your sound from factory preset. Did you change someting in the EQ or anything else?
Hey dude, I'm sorry if you're not happy with your sound. Sometimes I change the amount of reverb or the delay mix. But nothing dramatic. On the Axe-Edit photo in the video you can see my settings. How does it sound with headphones?
@@FrankSteffenMueller I did not try it becuase I don't have quality studio headphone for the moment. I was only running on my studio monitor, directly usb with reaper or with 2 xlr cable direct in my soundcard. But the sound is very muddy and miss dynamics when I used factory preset compare to yours
Hey, here the same. My sound really suck compare to yours. My gear: FM9, Gibson Les Paul Standard and Koss Porta Pro headphones. The sound here is very low.
The FM3 is fantastic. Slightly less possibilities compared to the FM9 or Axe-Fx3, but the same incredible sound/presets...and so portable....love it :)
They don’t EXACTLY sound the same now do they? Can you blend a cleanish amp with dirty on the fm3? Serious question. Can you even achieve that sound by a any means?
The FM3 is limited by the CPU, which means that you can't use 2 amps at the same time, for example. For the Factory presets this means that for CPU hungry presets the FM3 and/or FM9 versions are slightly "modified".
Why in the hell doesn't Helix have presets like these instead of the unusable garbage they put in their units. I have a floor and I really like the sounds from the Fractal.
Fractal Audio and lots of their artists put a lot of work in the factory presets. It's a great starting point for all the users to create their own presets. Cheers Frank :)
Excellent video! a doubt. Why when I use these factory presets in my FM3 with headphones or in a FRFR box, sounds are opaque and closed, and not the same as those in your video?
Hi Elbe, at least it should sound pretty close. What headphones and FRFR do you use? Which cables and what guitar? Can you send me a video/soundfile to Muellmusic@gmail.com
😦😦😦 💞💞
This has got to be the best showcase of the factory presets I’ve seen!
Cheers from the South East Us !
Wow, thanks!

Simply one of the best videos I’ve ever seen regarding anything about guitar playing! Just absolutely incredible playing and tone!
Wonderful playing my friend. Cheers 🎉
Thanks Jason. Much appreciated :)
Lol. I can see you're really enjoy playing guitar using fractal. I can't wait to enjoy too. I'm still waiting Fractal company to ship my FM9.
Yeah thats awesome. The FM9 will make you happy for sure :)
Thanks for the show! I just ordered one of these FM3’s and heard the factory presets are ready to go! Sounds like it to me. Thanks again!
My pleasure! Have fun with your new Fractal unit :)
Great playing sir!!
Thanks dude :)
Best introductory video on the preset sounds I've run into and I've seen a lot of them. Thanks!

Absolutely awesome demo of the Axe FX and the guitars....Gorgeous collection!!

awesome.. great work Frank.. your playing and sounds of the fractal are amazing!
Thank you dude :)
Whats the song at the 17 min mark? it feels so familiar yet fresh....
This is my song " Dreams Never End"
I really want the FM9, but MAN is it getting hard to wait while I know all of these great tones are out there in the other form factors.

Thanks John. Have fun with your FM3 :)
Breathtaking....you should make a compilation album with this...Thank you.
Great idea!
thank you much Frank. I would love to know how you play some of the riffs you displayed. Any chance you offer tab for some of the pieces?

@@FrankSteffenMueller you are a fantastic player. Very inspirational
wow wow wow amazing playing style and creativity..fractal the best!!
Thanks man. Yeah...Fractal is awesome and it's getting better and better :)
Awesome work. While I am waiting for my fm9: are the presents balanced volume-wise?
Thanks Markus. Hope you'll get your FM9 soon. The Factory presets are balanced - more or less.
awesome! That Gary Moore thing kicked ass!
Thanks Charles. Much appreciated :)
The presets are awesome, playing is even better

Yes... all these presets are stock Factory Presets from the FM3, FM9 and Axe-Fx3. Dude, the Boss is great for sure, but Fractal is simply the best.
