@@thomasjensen6243 so what if she’s been gone a long time. People leave their make in this world and that’s what matters. Seriously dude, who hurt you?
I think Farrah did a good job in The Apostle with Robert Duvall and Billy Bob Thornton. Kind of an underrated film but realistic and good acting all around.
As a Catholic I thought it was funny when the Robert Duvall character was watching the Bishop blessing the fishing fleet with holy water and said, “You do it your way and we do it our way but we both get it done.” I have to admit we have a lot of rituals but we must be doing something right because we have been around for over 2000 years.
Her and Olivia Newton John where my first loves as a kid. When I visited Hollywood in 2004 she was the only star I took a picture of. I morned her more than Michael Jackson.
When I was a girl, she was one of my icons. That was a bit before my time, but I thought she was so gorgeous and classic. I also was young when I saw and loved her movie Extremities. She was amazing in that movie, a very intense story. RIP beautiful lady.
People say when i was a girl in the 70s blah blah blah. When you speak in the past tense, you were a girl. So yes, the op was correct when she said she was a girl. Joan "was" correct, and you were not.
She would be 76 years old today if she was still alive still hard to believe she is gone always remember her like she looks here. This episode was 29 years ago can't believe how fast time has gone.
With all due respect ur talking the biggest humanitarian and someone who was totally screwed by the media…he shaped music but was stripped and framed for doing the right thing. I’m not saying Farrah wasn’t but I mean that kinda resume is hard to beat
In 1975, I was a young guy and of course I had this poster up on my wall. Posters in a kid’s room were popular in 1975 and this one took off (I think because the braless pic somehow got past the censors and thus sales were brisk at the malls).
Our San Mateo high school psychology teacher allowed us to pin up our favorite posters in the classroom walls among them was Pink Floyd’s Dark Side but the most popular was Farrah’s swimsuit pic in 1977

Is it just me, or Conan's expression looks exactly like the one in that giant Conan head they used from time to time in the show? Perhaps the prop builders used that moment as a inspiration.
There is a story behind that poster. There was a small print shop, Factors Inc, in Bear DE that was producing the poster illegally. They were selling lots of them and making a small fortune. Farrah's people came after them, threatened lawsuits etc until the owner Harry Geissler, struck a deal to be the either sole or primary provider (I can't remember which) of printed images of Farrah. The business exploded, they had to quickly build a much larger facility, the Geissler's became millionaires.....all because of a bootlegged image. Later, Harry struck a deal with (scumbag) Col. Tom Parker, to be the sole producer of Elvis image on merchandise for 10 years. Harry had a replica of Elvis' gate at Graceland placed at the entrance to his home.
I graduated from Villa Park High School in 79, Farrah and Lee Majors were married at the time and lived down the street and would use our school's tennis courts during school hours, she would play in a crop top no bra and of course we loved it when she would serve, there's actually a photo of them playing in our yearbook from 1979. They were very nice and would talk to us horny high school boys.
It still makes me sad to think she died so young. She is the modern day Elizabeth Montgomery. Tho Liz wasn't a Sex symbol but Farrah was so stunning, and part of my teen/young adult life. One of the last films she was in, was with Chevy Chase and the Kid from Home improvements. My son was young when that came out. I remember the movie “The Feminist and the Fuzz” where the main character (David Hartman) left his girlfriend (a 24-year-old Farrah) for Barbara Eden (40). As much as I love Barbara Eden, not sure that is a move I would have made.
What a woman. They definitely don't make them like this anymore. The class and grace and just her confidence and laid-back attitude. What a woman
