    The best thing I’ve learned watching your videos is the importance of timing when it comes to applying any of these products, thanks!

    Hey Doc. I live in Newnan and just started watching you last year. I had tried company after company and my yard never has looked as good as it did after dumping the services and following the lawn guide last year. Looking forward to year two. Thanks for taking the time to do the videos.

      Same. I dumped the company that does the landscaping for my entire neighborhood last year and started following Doc's advice/guide. I had/have the best lawn in the neighborhood.

    Thanks Doc for all of the videos you have made. For many years I've tried different things to make our yard look good. After following your videos and doing what I can with the steps and products you have recommended we have had the best looking lawn ever last year. Will continue following your advice and products you've recommended.

    Hey Doc. I’m here in Texas. Just east of DFW. Tons of snow and freezing temps right now. But next week warms up. Do I still have time to do the split treatment of pre-emergent and dimension along with the start up plan before the transition phase? Thanks in advance Doc. Love your work and advice!

    Questions about timing: I have a big soil thermometer in my lawn and plan on putting down pre-emergents when it creeps up to around 50F and play by ear with forecast like doc says. That 50F is a sort of a pre-requisite.

    Hey doc, I’m just up the road from you. When are you planning to do your granular pre-emergent? I’m planning on doing the split treatment, Anderson granular and dimension spray. I’m thinking granular as soon as it dries up, like last week of February. Does that sound about right?

    I know it's not time to use Super Juice but I went to pull out my bag, which is only 1/3 used up, I notice the bag is solid as a rock. What can I do to desolidify my Super Juice? It appears I may need a chisel to cut through the substance.

  • @bryanaspinwall800
    @bryanaspinwall800 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You actually CAN apply glyphosate to fully dormant Bermuda. But I mean COMPLETELY dormant. If there is a single green blade of Bermuda, don’t do it. I’m also not suggesting anyone do this but I had a lawn with a bunch of weeds that can only be killed with glyphosate so I blanket sprayed it and kept my fingers crossed. Worked like a charm and didn’t harm the Bermuda. The reason you can do this is, glyphosate only affects actively growing plants.

    Hi Doc, I had a soil test done is December by clemson and my PK was low. They recommended that in the spring I put down 0-46-0 and 15-0-15. Do I put down PGF Balance now and then some time in March put down the 0-46-0 and 15-0-15? Or do I put down clemson’s recommended fertilizer and wait until the fall to put down the PGF Balance?

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to correct with two light coats of the balance. I would avoid a 0-46-0. PHOS stays a long time and you run the risk of getting it too high.

    Hey Doc - Gabe Brown mentions, frequently, in his video the detriment to soil via "mono-culture" - does this translate to our "mono culture" bermuda turf? Are we not trying to seed and tend to a single plant? Curious your thoughts of blasting our bermuda lawns in the fall/dormant season with a cover crop cocktail?

    Hey Doc! Looking forward to another great Bermuda lawn year! I live in Austin, TX and right now it’s Arctic freeze cold! Wanted to run my plan by you leading into the upcoming transition phase in March.
    Was going to put down the pre-emergent in maybe this coming week. Then put down 10-10-10 2 weeks after that with humi char. Then hopefully by the middle of March transition phase I’ll be able to do the scalp and put down pgf complete.
    Side questions is it okay to put down the pre emergent and 10-10-10 if my grass is still high from last growing season? Or should I cut It down some before putting stuff down?
    Always appreciate your help. Thanks Doc!😎

    • @Perronology

      Speaking from golf courses here in Oklahoma, we have put down our pre-emerge at the same height we left it at the last of our season. The granule will work its way down to the soil no matter what height especially with the size of the small pril. Go ahead and throw er down. It will all be good!
