I showed my husband (the artist) the ombré brush and technique and he said the exact same thing! “Put the bottom color higher up or you’ll drag down the other colors and lose the bottom color.” Then I said, “Whatever! You know nothing!” Just kidding. I’m in awe of you, him, my daughter, and my dad (RIP) that see things in your mind and can put it down on a canvas, nail, paper, etc. I’m good at cleaning the house, gardening, getting animals to love me, and napping 😴 Love ya Jo!

Never judge your work based on what you're trying to recreate - I had to teach myself not to do that, because in your head you will see the first set as the 'correct' set, but remember someone else will see your set, recreate it and see yours as the correct one! These can either be glued on (with nail glue) or you can get sticky nail tabs, which you place in the centre of the nail bed (the part of the nail that doesn't extend past the fingertip), and then press these on to. I've not tried it with regular polish but I think if you work quickly it should work! I used to use a sponge to ombré with regulat polish. You know the little make-up triangle sponges. They're great for regular polish ombres. 😊
Love the colors. Love the designs. I just never feel ok about my ombré. Always feel the blend should look flawless and it never really does. I see “streaks”. It’s subtle but I see them so I think I messed it up.
Yaaaay! Congratulations! 🎉🎉 I was soooo nervous before my first client, but I promise you this: when she leaves, you will be BuZziNg! I had a cheat sheet in a drawer, because I was worried I'd forget the order of what to do. Sanitise, cuticles, buff, prime, base, colour x2, top, oil. You'll be able to tell straight away if she is they type of person you can say "you're my first ever client!" to, and if she is, then have fun with it! If she's not, then just crack on - but the BEST advice is to ask her about herself; people love to talk about themselves! Whenever I had a new client, I would say, "Right, tell me about you...you were born in..." and then just let them ramble on about their life. Not only will it allow you to concentrate instead of talking, but it will make them leave feeling good (because people feel good talking about themselves) and she will want to re-book. Above all - remember you know what you are doing, do the best job you can, enjoy it, and be proud of yourself! I swear you will feel amazing after!! GO YOU! 👏👏👏
A good brush, a lot of focus, and a lot of practice! I think I'll do a video on line-work, as I know it can be stressful and daunting! I used to practice by doing as thin a line as I could, then another one next to it, and then...do an even thinner line between them. Use little pressure, so you are using the veeeeery tip of the brush. And don't be scared to practice - I know that sounds silly, but sometimes it's too daunting to attempt some things (I know this because I have been avoiding trying certain designs for years because I feel like I'll just be rubbish at them!)
I wish I was so confident like u are I mean I'm 46 and I can't even get a clients full set right looks like a 5yr old went lose on her nails I was so embarrassed and disappointed in myself coz I no I can do better xx 😢😢😢

New follower here..... how do you put those nails on after they are finished? Or is that just to practice them. Like I said I'm new. I like the idea of painting them and doing nail art then putting them on but I don't know how
Hi, welcome! These can either be glued on (with nail glue) or you can get sticky nail tabs, which you place in the centre of the nail bed (the part of the nail that doesn't extend past the fingertip), and then press these on to. Can the ombre brush be used with normal (non UV gel) nail polish to get the same effect?
I've not tried it with regular polish but I think if you work quickly it should work! I used to use a sponge to ombré with regulat polish. You know the little make-up triangle sponges. They're great for regular polish ombres. 😊
Love the colors. Love the designs. I just never feel ok about my ombré. Always feel the blend should look flawless and it never really does. I see “streaks”. It’s subtle but I see them so I think I messed it up.

I was soooo nervous before my first client, but I promise you this: when she leaves, you will be BuZziNg!
I had a cheat sheet in a drawer, because I was worried I'd forget the order of what to do. Sanitise, cuticles, buff, prime, base, colour x2, top, oil. You'll be able to tell straight away if she is they type of person you can say "you're my first ever client!" to, and if she is, then have fun with it! If she's not, then just crack on - but the BEST advice is to ask her about herself; people love to talk about themselves! Whenever I had a new client, I would say, "Right, tell me about you...you were born in..." and then just let them ramble on about their life. Not only will it allow you to concentrate instead of talking, but it will make them leave feeling good (because people feel good talking about themselves) and she will want to re-book. Above all - remember you know what you are doing, do the best job you can, enjoy it, and be proud of yourself! I swear you will feel amazing after!! GO YOU! 👏👏👏
How do you get such fine lines, I struggle 😩
A good brush, a lot of focus, and a lot of practice! I think I'll do a video on line-work, as I know it can be stressful and daunting! I used to practice by doing as thin a line as I could, then another one next to it, and then...do an even thinner line between them. Use little pressure, so you are using the veeeeery tip of the brush. And don't be scared to practice - I know that sounds silly, but sometimes it's too daunting to attempt some things (I know this because I have been avoiding trying certain designs for years because I feel like I'll just be rubbish at them!)
