I'm never going to stop saying this; it is wrong and illegal to parade a suspect to the press and even more absurd to have them interrogated by the media. This girl hasn't even been charged to court. This is nonsense, we must do better. After all, what is the point of our court system?

I just feel it's unprofessional on the part of the Police to allow journalists to interview alledged suspects almost in an "interrogation style", especially immediately they discover a crime scene. A thorough investigation should still be on answering further questions to give the case a proper image, before this.

It is only in Nigeria that a murder suspect will be brought before the media to narrate her story, and be questioned by journalist. Nigeria appears to be a country without ethics and rules where everything goes. They do this all time, and there are numerous of such media drama. That is Nigeria for you. As a professional criminologist, this girl's story don't just add up at all. Firstly, "I went to get food for all of us" (which she immediately corrected). Secondly, she and the man were drinking, smoking, eating and watching a movie when he came unto her and tried to have his way with her, but she refused and he became violent and she stretched her hand to get knife to defend herself on the kitchen cabinet.... Hmmm LOL! Don't forget she initially said they were both watching a movie when he wanted to have her. This suggests they were not in the kitchen as she claimed. You don't watch a movie in the kitchen, thus, that self defense story is garbage. Lastly, it is obvious non of them owned the apartment, rather they hired the apartment for a short-term sex purpose. If so, she literary is a sex worker and the man is a customer, so where is the concept of him forcing her to have his way coming from! When sex is why they were there in the first place. From the above, it can be rationally deduced that the murder was intentional, was for a different reason or purpose and did not happen as she is narrating it. She is just trying to take the feminist stance of sexual abuse and self defense to justify her actions and incite sympathy from feminists. Very deceitful!
The truth is, if I was the one on this case, this girl won't get out of this cold blooded murder.

How do you kill someone and just be so unbothered about it? if she had good intentions she’d have done the right thing. why is speaking without an attorney at this point? doesn't she have the right to remain silent? she getting herself into a deeper trouble.
what's the meaning of parading a suspect? i think it's stupid. every suspect is innocent until proven guilty , even with all the evidence against him or her. They need to conduct their investigation instead of parading suspects.
i even saw the lifeless photos of the late man in bed. who took those photos and publicize them if not the so-called police? no respect and dignity towards him and his family. so pathetic!

Chidinma killed a man that gave her his atm pin ? Does she think we are fools? It's beginning to look like an inside job to me. Someone that knows Michael gave Chidinma that pin, probably part of the setup.

Or maybe he was tortured to reveal his PIN number before they killed him?

First she said she went to get food "FOR ALL OF US", then she quickly changed it to "I MEAN, BOTH OF US." Isn't this proof that she was not the only person who was in that room with the late TV CEO, Usifo Ataga? There were obviously more people in that room; I would say at least two others, most likely men - who would have restrained the deceased whilst she stabbed him to death. The truth has already been revealed! She is obviously covering up for other participants.
