Simple thing to do is have majority of your funds in a separate bank and don't have it connected to internet banking. They will try to get you to have it connected. Ask them to sign a full liability contract, they won't.
The problem is the amount of information that a scammer already as, they could only pull this off because they knew everything apart from the password. For the bank to deny any responsibility is poor.
Sorry. If you still have your bank details intact then may I can help handle that. And lastly don't give out your information to anyone not even your cleses friend. I am a cyber security personnel. Our team can help you out. We don't need your bank information.
Correct. This is a real life story shared with us that we then dramatized so the person you see here is an actor but the events did occur. We do this with all our Real Life Stories series to help raise awareness and help people learn how to stay safe online.
Same thing happened to me. Thought I was talking to my bank the entire time. Now they changed my info and I can’t get through cause I keep failing the security questions!
So sorry to hear this happened to you. It doesn't depend so much on the banking institution but the fact that they impersonated the bank and got her to read back a code sent to her phone. Best thing to do is to be aware these types of scams exist and to have a rule to NEVER share any code sent to your phone that YOU did not personally request no matter who the person says they are on the other end.
My bank account have been making unknown transaction with no alert, pls what can I do?... I need to stop it. I don't know if it is transaction but my money has been disappearing from account without alert or notice
We're so sorry to hear this. Unfortunately there are many ways. It's best to contact your institution to see if they can give you more details. We have a guide series of Hacked, Now What? That may be useful in helping you evaluate your account security as well: www.wizer-training.com/blog/email-hacked-what-to-do-guide www.wizer-training.com/blog/social-media-hacked-what-to-do-guide www.wizer-training.com/blog/info-in-data-breach-what-to-do-next-guide To know what else to look for.
In most scenarios they hit 'reset password' on the account and the account sends a code to verify it's you. However, if a scammer did the reset password and convinces you to read the code to them that's how they get in as they've now reset your password.
If an Esther Marie Pierre crap can stop all this talk about me that'll be great cause I'll bring it to the court I ask this court to remove it oh pay it should not cost nothing....

You need to first contact your bank directly. Contact them trhough the number listed on the official bank website.
They can clone your bank account to steal your money
