To correct myself on the mod limits on Console: It's 5GB for Skyrim and 2GB for Fallout 4. I would still like to see this improved for console players though (I'll lay off the Skooma in the next video). Edit: Yes PC has no limit, we bow to nooone!

I just want to say thank you Danny (ESO) you're really keeping us up-to-date and informed on the newest and coolest mods and information regarding bethesda's new stuff... Other than these updates on the updates of Skyrim... I do have to say I haven't really seen much in the way of new material from you other than starfield, and a few other games ... I'm hoping once you have everything in order will be able to see you play some of the new mods and things like that, my vote is for East empire expansion if that counts. I also wanted to add that I'm sure that the decision will fix the achievements problem and we will be able to use achievements along with some of these quest mods... I can understand not having achievements active if there are cheats enabled but for additional content and things like that it should still be active. Otherwise you'll have to make a new save and a new game without any mods.

@@changsiah2 As soon as Todd leaves the studio, do you think it will still be the same? If you replace each part of the ship over time, is it still the same ship as it was? 76 is doing good fine but yeah I can kind of see why people don't really like them nowadays are they still didn't get abandoned unlike most live service games these days
I'm in Starfield still pretty good despite its flaws
I'm sure the modding thing will mostly stay the same as despite some ups and down and aside from maybe Garry's mod (although I would say that once over filled with nextbot and lack of any other stuff) and Minecraft (still has some popularity but kind of died a little recently) I just feel like Bethesda kind of feels irreplaceable for multiple gaming to be honest and I'd rather not bring up my examples that is Rockstar or from software but not really community

@@TattleDelta Forcing payment for developing mods based on an engine created by others deserves criticism. If a PC modder requires SKSE, HDT, SMP, Parallax frameworks, bodyslide, mod organizer 2, a dressing mod...etc...then they should not require payment, as the mod frameworks that require their mod to work were free. If every mod dependeny that is currently being used on PC required a $5 payment then skyrim would be 10 years dead and none of the current modding scene would exist. People do not play vanilla skyrim in any large amounts to support the modding community that is now trying to get paid. They are not the best modders, they have not created the dependencies, designed the world changing mods that makes skyrim new. They are exploiters who are riding the coattails of the great modders of the past who did it for free and might at the most take donations today. Pay for play modders are scum because without all of the free mods and chivalrous modders out there they would have no audience. Now if they want to give 99% of their income to the modding community and take 1% then that would make sense.

@karpai5427 As a console peasant who can't use SKSE, this update is literally the first time my modlist has been broken by an update. And that's due to the UI changes conflicting with my UI mods. That's it.

Its the equivalent of taking food to the cinema and the cinema charging you for it like it always belonged to them. Any modder onboard with them is a disgrace to the gaming community. You want money for your work? ask for employment.

No thank you. Paid mods have made Skyrim SE a pile of trash, trivializing gameplay on any difficulty setting, and the new poorly-scripted mods are filled with game-breaking bugs and dirty edits (quality control my ass - go put your uniques on display in Myrwatch and tell me that mod was tested in any way, shape or form when you permanently lose them).
I'll just stick with modded Legendary Edition, where Bethedsa and greedy, hypocritical mod authors can do no further damage because they stopped supporting it years ago. There are thousands upon thousands of free Skyrim mods that don't cost a single penny, most of which are a thousand times better than these artistically bankrupt cash grabs. Modding is a hobby, not a job.

Doesn’t work on the latest version of Skyrim, and rolling it back hasn’t worked for me either (using Steam Depot, automated roll back mod hasn’t been updated yet). Would you have any idea how I can get Nolvus working by chance?

Yes, but the new East Empire mod you're excited to try out costs $7 and will become even more expensive shortly. The game itself has sold for close to the same price (and is just slightly more expensive right now from key shops). It's ridiculous and all about monetization (for Bethesda)... especially when coupled with Patreon, subscriptions, and so many other money making avenues. Regarding the PIP boy paint example... Bethesda already sells things like this themselves(e.g., Fallout 76).

Unfortunately what these greedy company did was ruin my game permanently. The least they could have done out of all the cons of this decision was increase console modding space and even then, I still wouldn't pay for mods. Quality assurance team? LOL they can't even fix their own game! Someone please, make it make sense! My Skyrim days are over and I had thousands of hours which is 5 years worth of playing the game. The only thing that kept Skyrim good was free modding with passion. I cannot believe they did this 😂

The creation page needs some editing. A tab/page for the paid mods and another separate tab/page for the free ones. The UI at the moment is a bit sh*t, as well as confusing knowing what you have installed or not, but I'm liking the new business model where mod creators can turn their hobbies into careers. Like "Kinggath" , creator of Sim Settlements for Fallout 4, is doing as he's making his own game studio

It would be really great if Bethesda could just let us have an alternate fork of their game so players can opt out of this paid mod revolution. Does anyone know if the GOG version of Skyrim is free of this BS or not?

You can set it so that your game does not update anymore both on Steam and GOG and there are ways to remove the updste and revert to thenold one. It is honestly advisable if you are modding from Nexus.

GOG update is planned, but there is no specific date yet.
My guess is that they will update the GOG version to bring it on par with the Steam version (there are a bunch of fixes and optimizations made in the last update on Steam version), but keep the marketplace/Creation Credits out of it.
      Again, it's just my guess.

Ok, I can answer my own question now it seems. Quote from the GOG page for Skyrim:
"Please note that the DRM-Free version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition does not include the Creation Club feature. The entire Creation Club content (74 items) is included in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition"
      Lets go!! \(^_^)/

I'm sure we'll have control over what mods we can disable and enable and use either ones if they are conflicting in the same location... You make like one more better than another let's say Sagittar stables and tundra homestead or something like that, I think this is what you're getting at you can't use both mods at the same time.

didn’t love this update because I have zero want for paying for mostly inferior mods, but it was cool for them to work with the SKSE team. even with active authors, address library, and commonlib, the crux is the main dll ao having it drop on day 0 was awesome. still can’t update because I have 2k mods and many of them haven’t been updated but there was a definite cool move in all this chaos.

@@damiku-8866yeah it’s sickening, can’t trust Bethesda or nexus anymore for any good content. Censorship, and greed seem to be the driving force between both of them. Bethesda games and mods are in an atrocious space right now. Imagine being the wimpy loser who decided you aren’t allowed to have a mod that removed polarizing political ideology from a game that shouldn’t have it to begin with. And they call it “inclusivity” as if they are doing a good thing. Disgusting practice.
