KABAM doesn't want this event for the whales to take advantage of, but still whales still get what they want. Whales will be whales no matter what. Now there's r4 7*'s. what's the point in preventing the whales take advantage of this event. KABAM at first should have focused on making this event a BANGER for everyone. especially for the low tier players who can only spend 4-5k units. lower milestone rewards should at very least make these low tier players happy, but KABAM wants business, if you want more juicy stuff then you need to spend. If only KABAM set aside business just this one, just for this event. Then probably anyone is happy and enjoying 10th year MCOC anniversary

With regards to dimensional beings challenge, want to guess which one MSD designed? You should watch his video on it. Basically he said Kabam wanted a challenge that couldn’t be completely soloed. He talks about how the community needs to work on reverse controls and acknowledges the Spider-man (2099) fight is awful but if you are amazing, you can get him down with a max future ant-man with 3-5 revives. It is so bad.
Are the rest of the new Carina’s challenges a breeze? There is a challenge and then there is just suffering. I haven’t done the challenge yet but every TH-cam video had the person who did it bemoaning it. Having a fight that is just a boring miserable slog only challenges your patience and persistence. You don’t feel accomplished after it, you are just grateful it is over. Last time I checked this is a game which means there should be some level of enjoyment from completing something. Plenty of the Carina’s challenges been difficult but fulfilling in their challenge. Others are simply miserable and just there to check it off the to do list. I prefer the former and this one appears to be the latter.
The megawhales already have nearly every single champs in the game and at a high sig, with nearly 60+ rank 3 champs and most rank 2. If kabam released a sbc crystal with - high % of 7 star and titan shards (most crystals contain a fully formed 7 star or half a titan) - low % of rank 3 materials (10-20% t4 alpha) - high % of rank 2 materials (fully formed t6 basic and t3 alpha and t6 class and 2x t5 class) The result would be that - general player base would be pulling a lot more 7 stars and duping them and getting more diverse rosters/ability to play with more characters (makes game more interesting and fun for them) - General player base also won’t be able to rank 3 a lot of champs, perhaps be able to get a lot more rank 2s at best. This keeps the whales happy - Whales can whale out and get the small amount of t4 alpha from opening many crystals and get more rank 3s and widen then gap which will keep them happy and make them spend more - Whales can still whale out in the realm event and get a few r4s too The only difference is that the general player base is happy because they have received a lot of new champs and material to r2 them Whales will just be getting high sig champs and still be able to r3 a lot more champs due to volume of crystals they open and t4 chance being low GENUINLY, the general player base wouldn’t care at all if the megawhales were spending tons of money to get more r3s and potentially some rank 4s, this is happened alsready, JUST AS LONG AS the general player base was also able to collect a ton more champs and dupe them and get rank 2s and some materials to r3 a couple of them. The general player doesn’t want to be equal with the whales, they just wanna enjoy the game, play with a ton of different champs and experience their abilities, and feel like they are regularly able to rank them up, let the whales do as they please, we are just chilling and tryna enjoy champs and high damage numbers and getting new flashy toys (new champs) and ranking them up
Kabam Crashed is wrong though the Whales already have a massive seperation who cares if they get more seperation lol or more 7* shards they would only just get more max sig Crystal's 😅 lol ohh yeah their aren't max sig crystals 😂, but most of there champs are fully maxed and most Whales have every 7* unlocked and they have around 60 r3s which after this they'll have 80 r3s and 3 r4 7* 😅.
Between the awful drop rates, the insane milestones and the offers releasing after people have already spent, I really hope Kabam don't make their sales targets for this event. It's the only way they'll ever learn.
Ive gotten shafted by the last 4 titan crystals which is months of crystals. Add on the awful new defenders all in BGs and arena, and I feel like I just cant keep up at all. Now Im too poor for banquet and Im even further behind. Im a regular but I have to give the game up because its not fun to only lose.
I think Kabam is out of touch with how discouraging they can make the game for many of us ; I was on the verge of leaving the game also , but just decided to reduce spending big-time, and participation in any content that isn’t fun for me. It’s hard at first , when all these reward items are getting dangled in front of us , and can be really discouraging IF we choose to chase ,compete against Whales etc…. I still like many of the champs, animations, so now just set my limits. (As soon as something isn’t fun, I just let it go, watching/ disciplining myself more ). Right now for me it’s down to AQ, arenas, EQ, and side quests that are not ridiculous in difficulty for me. So often in my life , it has felt like I was creating/perpetuating my own suffering, and in this case I kinda turned the game into a stress test instead of outlet. Good luck whatever you decide to do👍

I appreciate your balanced perspective. Most MCOC TH-camrs and CCP members seem overly positive about the game, almost like they’re under a gag order. This doesn’t reflect how 90% of players feel. For the amount of money spent, Kabam treats its customers quite poorly.
The solution is to put a little of what the top players want but have the rank rewards what they want like top 5%. So they will have to spend to get those rewards. Then put more 7* shards and awakening gems and other items that the majority of the community need in the banquet crystals. They’ll open a few and feel happy. And they’ll get whatever milestones they get.
I feel like a lot of problems would be solved with adding more hero shards to the event. The materials are amazing and good value but what’s the point of all these rank up materials if I don’t have any champs to use them on
If the ‘majority of rewards were meant to be in the milestones’ then why the HELL weren’t they progression gated? Thronebreakers and Legendary Valiants got the exact same milestones did they not? You can get thronebreaker with a new account in about a week, completely free to play, while the majority of valiant players have been playing almost since the beginning of the game. I agree that the value for 15k units is there in this event, and feel free to correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that a majority of players dont have that many units to spend, and if you dont spend that many units then all of a sudden the value becomes much worse. also I just really dislike the random element of the champion box thing, like its the 10th anniversary and its the banquet event, would it really hurt kabam to just let people pick whoever they want?
Sorry but their excuse is dog shit. I am a FTP Valiant player who saved 15k units for this event, and it screwed me big time. Better drop rates really wouldn’t have been too much to ask for. Rejecting this by saying they don’t want to give whales too much of an advantage is hypocritical as fuck, as I’m going against decks full of R3 7 stars that are all sig 100+. Whereas I’m busting my ass off to get 7 star and Titan crystals to get Leaders and Red Goblins. Not only am I disadvantaged because I don’t spend but I’m also disadvantaged because I am more subject to RNG than whales are, since they can essentially pay their way past Kabam’s shitty drop rates. The biggest thing you should be talking about is those who have bought enough crystals to get the isophene in the realm event are kabam gonna honour them the rest of the milestone rewards as summoners are not spending as much on the banquet event this year due to the lack of the sbc crystal rewards ?
I love mcoc, but after opening 30 of them and getting nothing but gold and bits of catalyst I'm not sure about spending any Christmas money on anymore, but it's a gotcha game what can you do...
My issue is I saved up 4.5k units hoping to get good 7 stars or at least good r2 and 6star r5 matterials. If we ignore the milstones, i still don't have a single fully formed t6 cc or a single 7star/titan crystal. I have 4 sig stones which just sounds like a joke. And yeah that's about it. If i include ALL my milstone rewards i have enough t6 cc to rank up ONE champ to r2/r5. I got maybe 2 7star crystals in total with milestones but since rng is a factor i pulled sable and duped my stormX. So yeah, thanks Kabam for a great event. You hyped up something soo much and basically gave us something we could by in ghe BGs store 10 times over.
8:27 Not just more, it’s three times as much, and it is guaranteed! The crystals were very underwhelming specially when it is supposed to be the 10 year anniversary on top of Christmas week. I think making the crystal rewards into selectors would’ve helped a lot. It is also fair that the majority of the rewards come from the milestones, but the crystals you have to open to get those rewards were mostly fillers while we were promised a much better outcome.

I think grouping Thronebrealer-Valiants together wasn’t a great choice. I’m pretty sure Kabam Bandicoot said something about how it wasn’t possible, but for the legendary or whatever that mostly purple and pink crystal with revives and champions are called they have progression based selectors. Heck make a legendary and mythic banquet crystal. I would’ve liked the T6 CC to be full and drop possible 2,4, and 6 a pop and T5 could be 4,6,8.
The main problem is the crystal itself. The crystal is absolutely not worth 300 units. If I spend 10K units and only get what are from the crystals, the return is TERRIBLE. However, if we look at the entire event and not just what the crystal gives us in isolation, the event is much better than it is given credit for. We have to count the 10 free champions give away; all the solo, alliance and realm milestones; and maybe another free gift at Christmas or New Year.
The problem is exactly as KT1 says imo: I haven’t played the game in almost 3-4 months straight, yet when I came to blow my stash, it felt like I had kinda did decent, which off my like 8-9 was better than a lot of others, but the values and amounts of stuff I got was off.
The SBCs weren't bad in theory. Yes, they do contain only 7* stuff, but the quantities and drop rates are a big mess. When Kabam considers t3 and t6 as fillers, endgame valiants also add the t7 1% and the 1k 7* shards to that pool, making the good pulls from 50% to 20-25% drop rate. And yes, the Realm event was a problem after all, you need to spend lots of units to get the good stuff, but as an "add on" event, it should have the same spending requirements to achieve the high levels as the solo one. And the real even was a mess as well. Low spenders or f2p palyers (because you don't start something having in mind that everyone already has 10k+ units on hand to use, especially less than a month after CW) won't get to the awakening Glorious gem bracket, and they ll stay with 50+ unsuable sig stone on their stashes. The Glorious champs system wasn't good either, you can't dupe anyone, by force, if you don't spend at the least 300$. Plus, the Xmas money offers are just to boost whale spending, even the banquet milestones only offer event points, plain and simple, feeding the "dream" of achieving a higher rank. I m not even mentioning the addition of a banquet key on the 50$ new offer, when many players bought already multiple times this one 2 days ago without a key on it, and when, most importantly, having a key in any other place than the Odins, wasn't mentioned anywhere, or even just implied.
I feel lucky bc I got 2x 7* nexus crystals out of my free batch from milestones but after that I haven’t gotten anything worth the units. It just sucks bc I felt like my roster grew 10x bigger last year and this year I got 2 champs out of 35 crystals
You could say that Kabam economist treat the top players as the only thing they focus on, not realizing if they did more from the bottom up it would build the player base. The change to Act 5 and change to the crystal drop rates was a massive step in the right direction imo.
Did anybody notice that we got disbalanced amount of sbcs from tickets in traders outpost? First 10 extra tickets gave us 10 sbcs but another 10 gave us only 1 I was able to open 11 sbcs from those tickets even i used 20 tickets..makes somehow no sense

I fthey don't want the whales to get too far ahead then they could take out the t7bc and move it into the highest parts of the solo/realm milestones. This way they could make the crystals better in terms of champ acquisition/duping. Most whales already have tons of r3s, max sigs, and almost all the champs anyway. The only thing they currently don't have is r4s. I was really looking forward to this event because I thought it would be a good chance for me to be able to dupe my rare champs like HB, Shocker, and Adam Warlock. Maybe I could get some other rare champs like black cat or mordo, or some others that I don't currently have. That didn't happen at all. Out of almost 100 crystals opened I got 0 AGs, 0 AG shards, 0 champ Selectors, a very small amount of 7*/Nexus shards to the point where it wasn't enough to open even 1 7*/Titan crystal. What I did get was a lot of t3ac, t6bc and t6cc all of which I had already going into overflow. I will say I did get a good amount of t4ac, 1 banquet key, and a 7* Jessica Jones. So I guess I was lucky in that respect but overall I felt very let down by these crystals. The milestone rewards have been pretty nice overall though and that is where the main rewards have been coming from. But if that is the case I'd rather do away with these RNG crystals and format it more like July 4th and Cyber Weekend where we can actually choose what we get. Or maybe make these crystals nexuses so the luck isn't quite as bad.
The MCOC Team Message about the gifts was a really cool signal to say us: Say thanks you losers! we give you all you deserved! get good and spent more! Event is decent, the problem was that Kabam hyped us a ton for nothing.
Every year they introduce something new or changed with the banquet event and every year kabam cash in on spenders aswell as cleaning out ftp unit's so it's alway's kabam's windfall for the year and we get cyber prizes developed in an algorithm with an RNG attachment
In my opinion issue is crystals are for tb-val for tb pulling a full t3a or t6b is huge but for valiant?? Nothing when I remember old giftings it was fiesta new players were getting insane rewards and whales vere satisfied as well

How ist that not worth it? In comparison the cyber weekend got you pretty much only the 2x 7R3 for this amount of units. I am valiant and this is not a bad deal, everyone is just too obsessed being mad about the gacha crystals.
I've opened about 20. I bought 10 and got amother 10 or so through the event etc. Only 1 felt worth opening, a 7* Nexus which was awesome. The rest were trash. I know the rewards are in the events but the crystals are terrible

Definitely a champion doesn’t really need much complexity to be good - Magik is just the greatest example of this. Simplest character in the game yet if released as 7* would break the game completely

Please don’t listen to the nay sayers. You do a great job of keeping things real. You focus on what is actually going on and it is great. Kabam should be talking to you regularly on the state of the game and what could change. Kabam should really do what you said and get some non CCP people to weigh in on things. Have a pool of players that can test new champions or weigh in on a spending event. Just get a sanity check. With this event, I agree with you that the event rewards are good for 15K unit spend. You also nailed the issue: we aren’t buying this rewards like cyber weekend, we are opening the crystals. So when the crystals are a miserable experience, it taints the whole event. My suggestion is have a special crystal or the stupid gotcha box with only top tier rewards that you get every so many crystals. Also if Kabam is worried about whales getting too far ahead, get rid of rank rewards. Top spender gets two Rank 4 7 stars from rank rewards.
Your suggestion is identical to what Kabam are doing with the milestones no? Open this amount of crystals... get this award. And if we would get a good guaranteed reward every few crystals this would actually set the whales apart from everyone else as they are buying an enormous amount of them. Yeah, those crystals were trash. The milestones were meh--even after the so-called buff. And Kabam really dropped the ball with this one. This is the 10 Year anniversary. They should have did it big. The spoils should have been game changing. Valiant and Paragon players should walk away feel underwhelmed. Because again--it’s the 10th Anniversary!

Right now for me it’s down to AQ, arenas, EQ, and side quests that are not ridiculous in difficulty for me. So often in my life , it has felt like I was creating/perpetuating my own suffering, and in this case I kinda turned the game into a stress test instead of outlet. I appreciate your balanced perspective. Most MCOC TH-camrs and CCP members seem overly positive about the game, almost like they’re under a gag order. This doesn’t reflect how 90% of players feel. For the amount of money spent, Kabam treats its customers quite poorly.
They shifted the rewards from the crystals to the milestones but kept the same price for the crystals at 300 units
The solution is to put a little of what the top players want but have the rank rewards what they want like top 5%. So they will have to spend to get those rewards.
Then put more 7* shards and awakening gems and other items that the majority of the community need in the banquet crystals. They’ll open a few and feel happy. And they’ll get whatever milestones they get.

If the ‘majority of rewards were meant to be in the milestones’ then why the HELL weren’t they progression gated? Thronebreakers and Legendary Valiants got the exact same milestones did they not? You can get thronebreaker with a new account in about a week, completely free to play, while the majority of valiant players have been playing almost since the beginning of the game. I’ve had my main account for 8 years, and I just started my alt account two months ago. It literally got better rewards than my main
I agree that the value for 15k units is there in this event, and feel free to correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that a majority of players dont have that many units to spend, and if you dont spend that many units then all of a sudden the value becomes much worse.
also I just really dislike the random element of the champion box thing, like its the 10th anniversary and its the banquet event, would it really hurt kabam to just let people pick whoever they want?

I am a FTP Valiant player who saved 15k units for this event, and it screwed me big time. Better drop rates really wouldn’t have been too much to ask for. Rejecting this by saying they don’t want to give whales too much of an advantage is hypocritical as fuck, as I’m going against decks full of R3 7 stars that are all sig 100+. Whereas I’m busting my ass off to get 7 star and Titan crystals to get Leaders and Red Goblins. Not only am I disadvantaged because I don’t spend but I’m also disadvantaged because I am more subject to RNG than whales are, since they can essentially pay their way past Kabam’s shitty drop rates.

The biggest thing you should be talking about is those who have bought enough crystals to get the isophene in the realm event are kabam gonna honour them the rest of the milestone rewards as summoners are not spending as much on the banquet event this year due to the lack of the sbc crystal rewards ?
I love mcoc, but after opening 30 of them and getting nothing but gold and bits of catalyst I'm not sure about spending any Christmas money on anymore, but it's a gotcha game what can you do...
My issue is I saved up 4.5k units hoping to get good 7 stars or at least good r2 and 6star r5 matterials. If we ignore the milstones, i still don't have a single fully formed t6 cc or a single 7star/titan crystal. I have 4 sig stones which just sounds like a joke. And yeah that's about it. If i include ALL my milstone rewards i have enough t6 cc to rank up ONE champ to r2/r5. I got maybe 2 7star crystals in total with milestones but since rng is a factor i pulled sable and duped my stormX.
So yeah, thanks Kabam for a great event. You hyped up something soo much and basically gave us something we could by in ghe BGs store 10 times over.
8:27 Not just more, it’s three times as much, and it is guaranteed! The crystals were very underwhelming specially when it is supposed to be the 10 year anniversary on top of Christmas week. I think making the crystal rewards into selectors would’ve helped a lot. It is also fair that the majority of the rewards come from the milestones, but the crystals you have to open to get those rewards were mostly fillers while we were promised a much better outcome.

I think grouping Thronebrealer-Valiants together wasn’t a great choice.
I’m pretty sure Kabam Bandicoot said something about how it wasn’t possible, but for the legendary or whatever that mostly purple and pink crystal with revives and champions are called they have progression based selectors. Heck make a legendary and mythic banquet crystal.
I would’ve liked the T6 CC to be full and drop possible 2,4, and 6 a pop and T5 could be 4,6,8.
The main problem is the crystal itself. The crystal is absolutely not worth 300 units. If I spend 10K units and only get what are from the crystals, the return is TERRIBLE.
However, if we look at the entire event and not just what the crystal gives us in isolation, the event is much better than it is given credit for. We have to count the 10 free champions give away; all the solo, alliance and realm milestones; and maybe another free gift at Christmas or New Year.
The problem is exactly as KT1 says imo: I haven’t played the game in almost 3-4 months straight, yet when I came to blow my stash, it felt like I had kinda did decent, which off my like 8-9 was better than a lot of others, but the values and amounts of stuff I got was off.

The new Odin deal vs the 10xSBC deal from Friday takes the royal piss in my opinion.
The SBCs weren't bad in theory. Yes, they do contain only 7* stuff, but the quantities and drop rates are a big mess. When Kabam considers t3 and t6 as fillers, endgame valiants also add the t7 1% and the 1k 7* shards to that pool, making the good pulls from 50% to 20-25% drop rate.
And yes, the Realm event was a problem after all, you need to spend lots of units to get the good stuff, but as an "add on" event, it should have the same spending requirements to achieve the high levels as the solo one.
And the real even was a mess as well. Low spenders or f2p palyers (because you don't start something having in mind that everyone already has 10k+ units on hand to use, especially less than a month after CW) won't get to the awakening Glorious gem bracket, and they ll stay with 50+ unsuable sig stone on their stashes.
The Glorious champs system wasn't good either, you can't dupe anyone, by force, if you don't spend at the least 300$.
Plus, the Xmas money offers are just to boost whale spending, even the banquet milestones only offer event points, plain and simple, feeding the "dream" of achieving a higher rank.
I m not even mentioning the addition of a banquet key on the 50$ new offer, when many players bought already multiple times this one 2 days ago without a key on it, and when, most importantly, having a key in any other place than the Odins, wasn't mentioned anywhere, or even just implied.
I feel lucky bc I got 2x 7* nexus crystals out of my free batch from milestones but after that I haven’t gotten anything worth the units. It just sucks bc I felt like my roster grew 10x bigger last year and this year I got 2 champs out of 35 crystals
I spent around 6k units for nothing, but only the Deathless Shulk-Piece mattered to me
You could say that Kabam economist treat the top players as the only thing they focus on, not realizing if they did more from the bottom up it would build the player base. The change to Act 5 and change to the crystal drop rates was a massive step in the right direction imo.

Did anybody notice that we got disbalanced amount of sbcs from tickets in traders outpost?
First 10 extra tickets gave us 10 sbcs but another 10 gave us only 1
I was able to open 11 sbcs from those tickets even i used 20 tickets..makes somehow no sense

I fthey don't want the whales to get too far ahead then they could take out the t7bc and move it into the highest parts of the solo/realm milestones. This way they could make the crystals better in terms of champ acquisition/duping. Most whales already have tons of r3s, max sigs, and almost all the champs anyway. The only thing they currently don't have is r4s.
I was really looking forward to this event because I thought it would be a good chance for me to be able to dupe my rare champs like HB, Shocker, and Adam Warlock. Maybe I could get some other rare champs like black cat or mordo, or some others that I don't currently have.
That didn't happen at all. Out of almost 100 crystals opened I got 0 AGs, 0 AG shards, 0 champ Selectors, a very small amount of 7*/Nexus shards to the point where it wasn't enough to open even 1 7*/Titan crystal.
What I did get was a lot of t3ac, t6bc and t6cc all of which I had already going into overflow.
I will say I did get a good amount of t4ac, 1 banquet key, and a 7* Jessica Jones. So I guess I was lucky in that respect but overall I felt very let down by these crystals.
The milestone rewards have been pretty nice overall though and that is where the main rewards have been coming from. But if that is the case I'd rather do away with these RNG crystals and format it more like July 4th and Cyber Weekend where we can actually choose what we get. Or maybe make these crystals nexuses so the luck isn't quite as bad.
Kabam should compensate everyone the exact amount of crystals they purchased but only after the event has concluded.
The MCOC Team Message about the gifts was a really cool signal to say us: Say thanks you losers! we give you all you deserved! get good and spent more!

Every year they introduce something new or changed with the banquet event and every year kabam cash in on spenders aswell as cleaning out ftp unit's so it's alway's kabam's windfall for the year and we get cyber prizes developed in an algorithm with an RNG attachment
In my opinion issue is crystals are for tb-val for tb pulling a full t3a or t6b is huge but for valiant?? Nothing when I remember old giftings it was fiesta new players were getting insane rewards and whales vere satisfied as well

15k units for subpar milestones that are nowhere worth 15k isn't good, at all. If you're a Thronebreaker with a smaller account, maybe. Regardless, it is pure trash to be spending 300 units for T5 CC or T6 CC fragments. It is an absolute scam.

Spending 15k for banquet will get you 2x 7R3, 3x glorious guardian box keys, a glorious guardian awakening gem, a 7* awakening gem crystal, a bunch of 7 star crystals and some other stuff FROM THE MILESTONES ALONE. How ist that not worth it?
In comparison the cyber weekend got you pretty much only the 2x 7R3 for this amount of units.
I am valiant and this is not a bad deal, everyone is just too obsessed being mad about the gacha crystals.
I've opened about 20. I bought 10 and got amother 10 or so through the event etc. Only 1 felt worth opening, a 7* Nexus which was awesome. The rest were trash. I know the rewards are in the events but the crystals are terrible

Hear me out I’m going to say this once, This years Banquet is Definitely better than last year for sure. And for the people who disagreed last year’s banquet barely had any 7* r3 materials now compare that to this year.

As for the realm event part i think is perfect fair actually the problem is nowadays people think they should get a participation reward for every thing thats not how things work someone should not as a example put up 10 points in the event and someone els puts up 2000 and the person that puts up 10 points should not be able to or expect to get all the good shit as for the crystals and drop rates the are pretty garbage and pulling red hulk from titan crystals and shit like that is garbage well that my take on it

This is again an event for big spenders only. I got around 40 crystals opened, and i still cant even reach the half of the milestones in the realm event. Like idk why they cant just give all the rewards to all the players according to their progress level. Like why not, just make the players HAPPY for once.

You should have mentioned them screwing everyone over with the valiant banquet bundle. The release them with 20 banquet bundle tickets then rerelease them today with a banquet key. It’s such bullshit.
Please don’t listen to the nay sayers. You do a great job of keeping things real. You focus on what is actually going on and it is great. Kabam should be talking to you regularly on the state of the game and what could change.
Kabam should really do what you said and get some non CCP people to weigh in on things. Have a pool of players that can test new champions or weigh in on a spending event. Just get a sanity check.
With this event, I agree with you that the event rewards are good for 15K unit spend. You also nailed the issue: we aren’t buying this rewards like cyber weekend, we are opening the crystals. So when the crystals are a miserable experience, it taints the whole event. My suggestion is have a special crystal or the stupid gotcha box with only top tier rewards that you get every so many crystals. Also if Kabam is worried about whales getting too far ahead, get rid of rank rewards. Top spender gets two Rank 4 7 stars from rank rewards.
Your suggestion is identical to what Kabam are doing with the milestones no? Open this amount of crystals... get this award. And if we would get a good guaranteed reward every few crystals this would actually set the whales apart from everyone else as they are buying an enormous amount of them.
I don't think there is a method to make this event better in my opinion. Maybe a complete Overhaul with getting rid of the crystals completely.
You’re not wrong. Claiming a reward is slightly different than opening a crystal or even the gotcha box as there is the element of chance associated with gambling. Not saying my idea is a massive improvement but it might go down better. Or you are right and there is no fix.
Issue is spending events are out of control way too many of them which is progressing the game way too fast so pretty much there is no need for banquet or gifting besides them just making a ton of money cuz its clear this event doesn't seem to helping about 75 percent of the community

Yeah, those crystals were trash. The milestones were meh--even after the so-called buff. And Kabam really dropped the ball with this one. This is the 10 Year anniversary. They should have did it big. The spoils should have been game changing. Valiant and Paragon players should walk away feel underwhelmed. Because again--it’s the 10th Anniversary!

I think we need to stop worrying about the whales opening a gap. Its hurtn the majority. The hardcore whales is what 20 people at mostt who care if 20 people get a lot if it makes it better for free players and normal spenders. Make the r4 stuff rare and the rest much more juicy. Then the whales cant get away and we all get better stuff
