Thank you. You need 19 stitches on which to work the spider in the video. Work a foundation chain of 21, dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. Then work a second row of dc if you want the exact look in the video.
Sure. I used 19 stitches for my strip. If you wanted it exactly as I worked it you'd need to make sure you have 19 stitches across for each spider you wanted to do. Don't forget your turning chain.
You can definitely make a square with this stitch, but if you mean working in the round to work it, I haven't done that. There might well be a way to do it. I'd have to play around with it.
Hi I think pattern is Nice. I wanted to try and make this into a granny square. Can you tell me if it's possible. I thank you in advance for your reply.
Yes, chain 21 if you want to make a baby afghan in strips. You would just continue on as in the pattern, making multiple "spiders" until it is as long as you want, then assemble the strips to make your afghan.
Great idea! I've made the spiderman round ripple afghan several times and it was also well received by the spidey fans.
You're a great teacher. I learn a lot from your videos. Thank you.

+Stephanie Johnson I start off with 21 chains to give 19 dc for the foundation on which I've worked the spider stitch in the video.
Are you going to do a vido af a baby blanket ~
I have no plans to do a video of a baby blanket using the spider stitch at this time.
If you want to make a blanket like the Gemstone Spider Afghan, that pattern is available for purchase in my Ravelry store and my Etsy shop..
You're welcome!
For some reason I can't get it ~

Awesome, thanks so much :)
Beautiful! But for my untrained eyes, it look more like a little sun then a spider!
