I've had the same model in the same butterscotch for about a year. I rub linseed on the neck about every third string change, and that raw maple feels great. I do that about every third set of strings. Loving mine.
I KNOW THE FEELING I HAVE SEVERAL GUITARS MY BEST THREE ARE PRS GUITARS AND FOUR SQUIERS ONE BEING A TELE . PLUS SVEREAL OFF BRAND GUITARS SOME OKAY AND SOME AMAZING . IT'S WHAT WE DO WITH THESE GUITARS THAT MAKE EACH ONE SPEACIAL .
Wish it was even thinner and lighter. Not a fan of heavy guitars. Neck dive is a function of strap button placement and center of gravity. I guarantee no neck weighs more than a fully loaded body.
3 Telecasters on stage 3 Rolling Stones getting Apprenticed by Muddy Waters th-cam.com/video/z3Or7huOK7o/w-d-xo.html They reckon Muddy's Red Tele would stay in tune for 11 days straight of gigs before it need adjustment It is just a tool it is what you do with it Teles do jazz blues - I am getting a black one of these and I am I going to make it smoke
My prefered guitar for any squire guitar is the squire bullet series i had a black n white stratocaster Id play the living crap outta that guitar not all brands are that bad squire does have some good guitars but this telecaster has a not so good neck profile
You have to know that Tele's and Gibson guitars have a different scale length. Fender has a 25.5" scale and Gibson has a 24.75" inch scale. Unfinished necks are awesome, finish creates a sticky surface. If you like a smaller profile neck..try a Gibson SG, or a Wolfgang EVH..the necks on those are nice. It's all personal preference, and just you being you playing what you 'feel'. Push the idea out there that it's just a piece of "Wood and Wire" and if it inspires you..Play it!! Necks can be adjusted with a truss rod, as long as it works. Adjustments you can do yourself..save yourself some money! I own a few guitars and each one is unique in it's own design. But a guitar is just a tool for creativity, like a paintbrush, you only get something out of that tool when you put something into it. We all have our preferences, ego's , and what not to think about. At the end of the day though..I think Love matters more than that. You do you!
If you get the opportunity buy an old MIJ 50's style Telcaster. Great guitar! I recently bought an Ibanez from Amazon and was kind of disappointed for the money..but I made it play the way I wanted to. A little bit of knowledge and creativity goes a long ways in how you want something to work. But, for the young players out there, there are a lot of good options available to you that were never available to me at a young age. I'm no pro at anything, just offering my opinion.

Get a reverse headstock, if you replace the neck. Reverse headstocks are badass!
poplar has multi directional grain , its extremely stable so rarely warps and is tough , it was used for piano frames and match sticks
I don't know much about guitars. But, I KNOW what good guitar playing sounds like & you make your Telecaster ROCK.

Since you are not a guitar snob, you should try a Harley Benton too, either a Tele or a Les Paul copy... Boy, are you in for another surprise 😊

A leather strap eliminates neck dive.
No way it will neck dive.
I recently received a Squier Sonic Esquire. Same guitar with only one humbucker bridge pickup. Absolutely no neck dive.
All talk, no substance. Typical american?
Bruh it’s a $200 guitar, you get what you pay for and hot rod it with up grades
Did you watch the video all the way through?
