Hey there, great video! 😊 I even learnt some new pandemic ones like WFH and 'to pivot'. I'd just like to add a bit of extra info. • A 'cuppa' can also mean a cup of coffee, as well as a cup of tea. If you say yes, you will then be asked which one you want, and how you prefer it. • As well as 'sambo' meaning 'sandwich', it's also common to say 'sanga' [/sæŋə/] (as in, 'she SANG A song'). • ASAP, when spoken, can either be said letter by letter, or said like 'A-sap'.
The of the reason for shortening words was, in early colonial/ pre insecticide /pre-fly screens, massive amounts of flies, often getting in your mouth if you left it open..
I love Argentina. Sad that it is the only 1st World country to go backwards and become a 3rd World country... Yo no te estoy criticando por tu pais. no es personal. El Canada tambien es un pais que era fuerte, pero que hoy en dia se ha vuelto debil.

"Footy" means more than AFL, it's football in general - although we'd probably say Rugby for Rugby Union.
I add 3 words:
Macca: McDonalds.
Barbie: Barbecue.
Brissie: Brisbane.
Yes! These ones go for the next video on Australian slang for day-to-day life. Thank you Joan :)
Yeah! We use Sickie here in the UK too.
Also NFI stands for No fricking idea and Centrelink - Cenno
Thanks for sharing.
Cant wait to go to the footy this arvo cunno!!!
We use most of these slangs in the US too.

Sanger (pronounced Sanga) is also a sandwich
Which is why we enjoy a banger sanger, or a Sambo sanga (Samboy chips with butter and bread, salt and vinegar are the best)
In NSW Footy means NRL
'NO WUCKA'S" = no worries or "NO WUCKEN FURRIE'S" (no fucking worries)
How cool is that. Love your content
It’s sanga for sandwich
Hey whats your native country ? Plz reply
Hey! I'm dual citizen of Australia and Argentina, and have been living in Aus for over 7 years now :)
@@livingsimplyaustraliahaha… you are lucky enough for getting Australian citizenship in just 7 years 😁👍🏻
