    Brian thanks for sharing. Thanks for the package. Nice to see you were able to catch the fault with the less expensive scanner. 😊

    I have learned to always check for loose or Fred, wires/connections , ( now adding loose fuse box to my list)

    Its normal to run the car in limp mode once you have all these codes specially the throttle actuator code. All you have to do is clear the code & everything works normally. I get codes like p0641 which is 5v reference touching ground and the ecm shuts off some injectors & limits torque management. Thanks Brian.

    Nice job.

    I wonder if it was still in reduced power mode using injector cut to lower the idle until the codes were cleared.
    As always great diagnostic.

      @@BrianMann216 hey Brian! Quick question. I’m having problems with a 14 Escape and its pcm. There isn’t communication between the pcm and the rest of the car. They purchased an used one but with a different part number. Can the scanner read it anyway? Or it’s gonna skip it?TIA

      @@carolinacespedes-uribe4545 If they have a PCM that is "close" i would think it would communicate. I really think you are probably dealing with a network issue (my favorite!). I would see which other modules on the HS can are talking..

    Brian a quick question would it have improved running if you initially disconnected the mass air flow sensor after you noticed the initial reading being wacko. Just wondering 😊

    What's up with the disconnected wire and the Nut stuck on the other post at the fuse relay box? Looks like an open power feed and loose bolts. Look at the nut that's not where it belongs and a loose red wire at 4.08 minutes.

    • @BrianMann216
      @BrianMann216  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That wire (red one is what I think you are referring to) is some sort of auxiliary feed. I see it all the time disconnected. I always look for witness marks on the fuse block to see if it " should" be connected.

    • @christopherwatson283
      @christopherwatson283 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrianMann216 The Nut is above the other nut on the other post next to it because someone removed the Nut from the power feed and screwed the Nut onto the other power feed bolt on top of the Primary Nut. That post-bolt has no reason to be double nutted.

    I am sure you would rather have a vehicle that no one messed with . Such as the loose fuse block . And if low end parts are thrown into the mix , it makes it more difficult . Great diag .

    I had a topdon like that. Sold it. To many issues with it. Mis diagnosed a 2001 f150 crank no start. Theft light flashing. Programmed keys. Theft light goes out. Cranking looking at engine rpm says 0 checked crank sensor. Replaced it still says0 rpm. Used snap on has rpm was a bad fuel pump. Just got tired of little bugs I’d have to continually change scanners because I didn’t trust it or was the car really doing what the data showed.
