@Shannon Smith The Potters and Weasleys were related to the Blacks, infact almost all wizarding families have relations with the Blacks. Other than the Potters and Weasleys, the Blacks were also related to the Malfoys, the partly muggle Tonks family, the Lupin family, the Macmillan family, the now extinct Prewett family, the Greengrass family , the Crouch , Longbottom , and Yaxley families. The Black families pure-bood beliefs led to their extinction in 1996 when Bellatrix destroyed her own family by murdering Sirius Black, their only male heir.
@Shannon Smith Well Bellatrix had been so close to Voldemort that even she forgot what love was. She forgot about her family and didn't sacrifice for it like her younger sister Narcissa. Now all she cared about was Voldemort, not even her own husband, let alone the distantly related Longbottoms who were her great-great-grand aunt, Callidora Black's descendants through her husband Harfang Longbottom.
Hey Dean, if Tom riddle created a horcrux at the age of 16, then how did the trace not detect it and have him arrested.
Harry got caught for performing wandless magic on his aunt so how could the trace not detect Tom Riddle performing a soul splitting murder ritual. It makes no sense?

Please do What happened to Creacher after Harry, Hermione and Ron left the Sirius house for the last time. If I remember correctly he had just turned a new leaf and said to them that he was gonna make dinner for the when they came back but they never did on account that the house was discovered. This left me heart broken because he expected them with real joy after many years of being lonely and miserable I can only imagine the disappointment he felt
I thought by then that since Sirius left the entire Black estate to Harry, 12 Grimmauld Place and Kreacher became Harry's. I was sure that Harry tested if Kreacher was beholden to him by ordering to go work at Hogwarts, and he did. Then Harry started to be nice to Kreacher, and Kreacher became less like most of the Blacks that he knew and more like Harry, and even went so far as to lead several of Hogwarts house elves into fighting against the Death Eaters.
Dean, please feel free to confirm or correct this. It's been awhile since I read the series through; I am currently re-reading, and am just about finished Order of the Phoenix.

We have no infos about the Longbottom family priorNeville's parents and his grandmother. It's impossible to find a connection there.

He is connected to Weasleys via Cedrella, and to Longbottoms via Cedrellas sister Callidora. Callidora is Nevilles great grand mother, and Cedrella is grandmother of Ron.
Genealogy can get really crazy! One of my family lines connects me to at least 5 famous historical figures (including Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Stephen Crane, Robert Treat Paine, etc.) all within a 6th to 10th Cousin range. It's incredible just how well connected family history can be, no matter how widely distributed we are across the globe.
