Giving Janice the drawer was actually a very sweet, meaningful gesture. Knowing Chandler's fear of commitment, this is quite thoughtful and significant.
This scene makes me so sad, early seasons Chandler is depressed and traumatised and when he finally finds a woman he really loves, he says a couple of over the top sentences and almost ruins it. I’m so happy for Chandler and Monica and how they work together, it made such a huge positive difference to both of them.
In my observation, Monica seems calmer and relaxed with Richard, but Chandler being able to be a good partner despite his childhood, is an amazing thing ❤
The fact that Chandler is so awkward in this scene is funny but so sad at the same time. He knows he's messing up but he so desperately wants to make things right. But I'm glad things turned out to be in his favor in the end and he commited the woman he loved and deserved!
Chandler reflects everyone insecurities in each situation he is in involved in the show. That’s why I think almost everyone likes him. Also is jokes are pretty smart and are not offensive.
I always liked Janice. I like to imagine that if he didn't end up with Monica, Janice was probably the most likely runner up he would've eventually got hitched to. She actually knows him pretty well and despite her quirks, she's really nice. And she deeply cares about him. He could definitely do a lot worse than Janice.
Joey:"Every time she starts laughing, I just wanna- pull my arm off just so that I have something to throw at her." Everytime I see Janice, I think of Joey's comments.
Janice is stupid, why is she going back to chandler after he treated her shitty many times, honestly her cheating on him makes them equal, so I don’t want anybody hating on Janice
@@champadi9622 I thought that he never gave her a Chance for reals, due to her annoying habíts and also his own fears. But then he started speaking with her through the computer without knowing it was her and realised how much in common they actually have, that's when he starts falling for her, until she is the one dumping him.
“The way I feel about you, it’s like I finally understand what Lionel Richie saying, about what we have. It’s like a movie love your my soulmate” this doesn’t related to this scene, but it’s still heart breaking that they break up at the end of this ep. 💔
They don't break up at the end of this episode. What you said is from a different episode... This episode is all about Chandler taking the next step and freaking Janice out in the process... But by the end of this episode Janice calls him back and patches things up, while Monica and Rachel eat the ice cream they thought Chandler would need... But I agree... That dialogue in one of the best dialogues in the entire Chandler-Janice relationship!! I think it happens in the end of the episode when Chandler asks Janice to choose between him and her husband, when Joey tells him he saw Janice kissing the latter!
Mansi Sarma your right I got the eps mix up wasn’t it the ep where Monica goes to the king mattress place and that’s where Joey saw Janice and her husband the king of the mattress) kissing haha thanks for reminding me lol
@@Timburgess03.. No problem.. 😂 it's actually the episode after that one...Joey sees Janice kissing the Mattress king, and that episode ends there with the post credits showing Chandler playing on the racecar bed... Another tiny hilarious scene... The next episode starts with Joey and Monica rushing into Central Perk, and telling the others (except Chandler) what happened...
Mansi S that’s exactly what I said haha! Anyways that ep was hilarious! I wonder what happened to the race car bed!? Haha I’m on season 4 Ross and Emily wedding part 1 almost at season 5!! I do remember parts of friends but I don’t think I watch them all than god for Netflix
@@Timburgess03.. I know right? Knowing Monica, she probably went back and didn't leave, until they agreed to give her store credit for it... 😂 Anyway, Season 5 has some of my favourite episodes, humour-wise... (Although, to be fair, if someone asked me to choose, I wouldn't be able to choose because I love almost everything about FRIENDS... It's my go-to sitcom!) Have fun watching!! 😊😊
While this scene is funny, it's one of the reasons why I think it debunks Chandler and Janice's 'destined' relationship. No matter how they remedy their relationship, it ends the same way, one of them is not ready for commitment. And Chandler might have gotten carried away mentioning the steps he was excited about, that said, Janice should have known Chandler by that time had major commitment issues and never got the chance to take these steps because he was afraid of the risks involved. It's probably why everyone ends up championing Chandler's relationship with Monica, as even eccentric Monica can be, she understood that when it came to Chandler she needed to be patient. And when Chandler admits he loves Monica, she got so excited while he tries to somehow cover up he let it slip. Instead of getting mad at his reaction, or running away, she was ecstatic he'd even mention something that could slip his barrier that he rarely exposed, and she must have felt special she was able to do that. Chandler really grew from his relationship with Monica, like understanding if there is a disagreement doesn't mean it's time to break things off. He eventually realizes having faith in each other is risky but it's worth it with the right person, such as gambling if they should get married in Las Vegas (thankfully they didn't do that, Monica probably would have regretted not planning their wedding.) Not to say Chandler's relationship with Janice he didn't grow, but it always ended the same way, someone was chased out somehow. Just glad Chandler ended up with someone who appreciates him no matter what.
