I never really comment and this is the first time I've ever been the first to comment but dude the fact you stepped out and showed your craft and your faith is amazing. Hats off to you dude keep it up, I need to do the same, love the video. I am about to restore my first Kabar and you helped me out with the video, thank you.
@@Mossberglover Howdy! I used dark brown pro dye from fiebings for this. If the original varnish and or polish is warn off the handle it should accept the dye.
What kind of adhesive are you using when you stack the leather handle? I’m new at this and was going to try to restore an old USN MK 2 Kabar. Thank you in advance, and I really enjoy your videos!
2000 years ago he came to save humanity. But why than? Humans weere around for at least 200000 years. what took him so long. 198000 years of unimaginable fear, suffering, hopelessness that was human life back than. You are lucky if you are not eaten by a bear as a child. An you wont live bust ypur 30s cos your rotten teeth will kill you. And when he finally came what changed? He failed in his mission. Most of the people dont care about him. Think about it. Why does he needs a youtuber with 2,7k subscribers to urge us to believe in him?
Howdy friend. First things first, Jesus doesn't "need" me to urge others to believe in Him, it's simply a command that I am following. Second, You are operating on many unstated assumptions, and would have to provide proof for said assumptions. You are presenting your views as universal truth, which is exactly what I am doing as well. But you would have to give citation for your point of view if you expect to dismantle my world view. Third, there is plenty of unimaginable suffering going on to this day. That's not reasonable proof for, or against my view, so you'd have to answer further. Fourth, the world literally changed because of His earthly ministry. Nations rise and fall but His followers have stayed consistent throughout the ages. And on a side note, before you accuse Christians of atrocities, you'd first have to demonstrate if they were acting accordingly or contrary to the teachings of Christ. And do tell me, what part of His mission did He fail? Do you know what He set out to do? It seems once again, you are operating on assumptions. Fifth, saying most people don't care about Him is invalid, Christianity is and has been a massive religion. And even if your claims were true, the number of followers of anything doesn't define the legitimacy of any movement or faith, but rather objective truth. I hope this answers some of your questions about the statement itself. I look forward to your response. I assume because you took the time to correct me you are looking to engage in a robust discussion. So I look forward to the next instalment.
@maplecreekcutlery you are correct. We all have our assumptions. In my comment I granted yours. Like that Ggod exists. And it's the god you are worshiping. And that the Bible narrative about Jesus is mostly correct. I dont believe it, but I understand that you do and I'm pointing out my issues since it is what preventing me to accepting Jesus. Not sure which of mine assumptions you have issues with. But I hold them as basic knowledge and that's what you need to overcome if you re serious about converting me. Because I don't see how I can do it on my own. My comment about most people not caring about Jesus is actually true. I'm sure you would agree, that Christianity isn't the biggest religion. Most people are either Muslims or Hindu. And I'd bet you won't count every Christian denomination as truly Christian. Catholics, Mormons, eastern orthodox Christians are not true Christians in some fundamental sence. And not all protestants are either
@ihmawtd1741 I'm more than happy to do what I can to help. But you were making assumptions like how Jesus failed His mission, which I asked for you to demonstrate. I can give you my contact info if you would like to have a deeper conversation, because it seems like you are genuinely seeking as am I.
@maplecreekcutlery oh, that's correct. That is my assumption. This is how I see it. It is my understanding of the narrative. Even Christians believe that for the full success of his mission another coming is needed. And if you want a more scholarly answers, I'm not qualified to argue those fine details. You can ask Jewish rabbi will be more than happy to answer why they don't consider him a messiah. And they should know since it is their texts talk about the prophecies Jesus failed to fulfill. And he didn't impress the Jewish scholars of his time either. That is my understanding.
@ihmawtd1741 I think that maybe the perception of the second coming might be an issue here as well. He finished His redemptive work on the cross, thus saying "it is finished". Atoning for the sin of the world and purchasing humanity by His blood. I have dug quite deep into jewish thought and I dont throw out the old testament as many do. Unfortunately many jews of Jesus' time and to this day twist and ignore large parts of their scriptures and teach man made tradition as God's word. Historically that was one of the major issues the Jewish leaders had at the time. I would definitely encourage you to look through old testament prophecy and review what seems to be in error there as far as the claims of Jesus himself. Thats why I always tell folks to look to what Jesus himself claimed. Because we can't be upset when He doesn't do something that He never promised. In other thing i would consider is man's own bias and corruption as it pertains to the way ancient jews would refer to Jesus. I do have a question though. If you dong believe in God or the Bible, why are you appealing to jews who proclaim their belive in the God of the old testament?
