This really works! I had to pack my husbands, mine and daughters ALL wardrobes due to moving... target was 2 large suitcases. I packed 189 items (tracksuits, jeans, trousers, jackets, dresses etc) this way! Absolutely amazing!
Combined it with folding×rolling technique and packed in another 67 items, mainly Tshirts!
Thank you so much for this video 🤗👍

Isn’t this technique just incredible! I’m always amazed! 😮it’s like magic! I have used this since seeing it here several years ago. I have even put the bundle into a large ebags packing cube to get a bit of compression. Cheers!

I found this just before a relative was struggling to get a small bag packed. She followed the video and was delighted how easy and space saving this method proved to be. I expect we'll both be using this method for a tour next year. Thank you for keeping this video posted.

This video is magic and it works! I use this method for all air travel. I fit 10 days of winter clothes in carryon for trip to Italy. Clothes actually stay pretty unwrinkled. I use it on business trips. It's really not inconvenient to do bundles. TSA has never opened it and messed it up. You can put fragile items in the center of the bundle and they don't break. I'm so glad I found this video years ago and I thank the company that produced it!

BEST packing video on youtube! I used this method with a large suitcase for 10 days and needed lot of variety for events. Nothing shifted around. Had lots of room for more clothes if I'd wanted. Your vid is short and to the point.

I have been using this method for several years now. It's the best result for me. Clothing doesn't wrinkle much. Since I pack with liquids, I place the bundle(s) inside a large plastic bag just in case something leaks. Thank you for this great advice!

Two weeks of travel - I bring my Jansport day pack and that's it. I've used a carry-on for trips up to 8 months. But I wear the same dress every day at home. Minimize your wardrobe - you won't own enough stuff to fill a carry-on. LOL. th-cam.com/video/k5PphfiEf3Q/w-d-xo.html

The shirts are most important. One pair of shorts/ one pair pants (and bathing suit) can do it, if you have enuf shirts. I sacrifice some clothing so I fit toiletries/first aid all in one. Salute.

I’ve watched other “ how to pack” videos- this is very helpful! Love the alternating garments, and had seen this done... also, A note to frequent travelers who sometimes have their bags opened and searched by TSA, TSA appreciates a neat, well organized bag. I also, if I have anything breakable , bubble wrap the item , place it in the middle of the bag... and I include a list of my items on top / I’ve traveled many times from MSY to SeaTac .. using packing organizers does help... even large zip lock bags etc.- great tips.happy flying.

I commend you on being able to pack so incredibly light! I am in shock that this is all you are bringing for a two month trip! Last time I went to France for two months I bought five of the largest suitcases permitted on commercial airlines and also two mid size bags. One mid size bag is just for shoes and purses and and the other is just for cosmetics. The full size bags were filled with dresses, suits and such. I really need to take some inspiration from you and learn to pack like you. I'm not sure I would be able to do it! Love and light honey and happy travels! XOXO

I'm a very seasoned traveler and thought I'd mastered the art of packing until I tried this technique. It's incredible! I've managed to pack several weeks of clothes into just a carry-on multiple times so far -- it's easy to fit a LOT in a small space, so only challenge is keeping it within the weight limit. Thanks so much for the great tips!

I traveled to Italy for 10 days and I am large sized woman. So this was something I needed to least try.I actually did this method and it worked like a charm. I had 7 pants, 2 jeans, 1 shorts, 14 blouses, large towel, undergarments and 3 pajamas and all of it fit into my carry on.
The only I did not pack in my carry on were my shoes- those went in the larger suitcase.

His demo is for a CARRY ON. I don’t recommend putting all your shoes in your checked luggage. If it gets “lost/wrong destination”, you have no shoes to wear until your luggage is found. It won’t hurt to put at least one other pair of shoes in your carry on.

I learned the from my sister in law, and she put a small bundle of miscellaneous things in the center of the suitcase before wrapping the clothes around it. The bundle prevents wrinkles in the bottom layer of pants and can be pretty much anything. A packing cube of undergarments, socks, scarves, etc. works like a charm! Doesn’t work so well on trips where you’re moving from one hotel to the next so I tend to use this stem for stays of 5 nights or more.

This is what I was thinking. Every item is intertwined & buried, making it difficult select what you want & requiring the entire bundle to be re-packed each time.
At the time of this video, I'm not sure if _packing cubes_ were available 🤔 However, they one of my essentials now to keep items organized so I don't have to always dig around to find things.

I've been doing this for years,(now retired travel agent) after seeing a bag out on the tarmac with a zipper that popped when a handler threw a bag up into cargo. Clothes were every where. If that happens to a bag packed your way the handler can just pick up the bundle and put it back in and tape the bag shut.
I agree that if you're on a tour of a different city every other day you need to make separate bundles like all pants in one and tops in another.

Excellent demo!! I had to figure out how to do this when I started traveling multiple times per year across the US. It worked well because I stayed in the destination location for 3-10 days. The trick is using the suitcase ONLY for shoes and clothes (I was able to get my undergarments in it as well), and maximizing the advantage of the carry on bag. Because of liquid limitations now, I don't carry any toiletries. Thus, I buy what I need (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) at my destination location. ;)

Man, this video saved my life. Got a new job, traveling. This method really works. Clothes come out relatively wrinkle free. Everything beyond your belief, fits. .I do one week hops, dress clothes. So, thanks for your post. I do everything in a carry on. 19 inch American Tourister. Don't use the bagallini thing, stuff socks etc in my shoes. But seriously, thanks

You don´t have to rifle through every layer if you pack bundles, say 4 tops together, 2 pants together, etc. When you want something lower down, remove the bundles above it and place them back in. The toiletries and meds go on top instead of at the bottom, since you will use them every day. I also don´t pack things I can buy at the destination, like toothpase, shampoo. I have traveled carry-on only for many years. Thick and fluffy items, such as sweater, coat, jacket, get taken on the plane over my arm and can serve as extra cushioning during the flight.

Great demo! I'm going to Australia for a couple of months and will definitely use your method. I can see that it would work just as well with a larger suitcase (would be able to take a few more clothes!). I would pack the jeans, which are the heaviest garment, first and fold them in the suitcase first. Then, you can use your method for the rest of the clothing! Thanks so much for your time in sharing your method!!

wow!! I'm, going to Britain, Italy and Greece for 10 days. 3 things off my bucket list. Carry on only plus backpack. What a great hint! thank you so much for your great video. I try to stick to basics; slacks, jeans, skirt, mostly cotton and silk. Great idea to put undies, sox, makeup and meds in the backpack. Once my luggage got "lost" in Ireland for 2 days. At that time I was used to the very dry climate in Arizona. I thought my undies would dry overnight. I forgot how humid it is in Ireland. Wore damp undies until the wonderful hotel we stayed at bent over backward to help us. What an adventure. Bought a Rugby shirt I still wear 11 years later. My favorite. Had my meds and a toothbrush. What else do you need? It is all an adventure to go with the flow and laugh.

For fluffy space hogging things, those giant vacuum ziplocks where you can force the air out (no vac hardware required), compressing everything as much as possible.
I fit a week's worth of ski clothes in my carry-on sized backpack + you are allowed 1 "personal size" carry-on as long as it can fit under the seat in front of you.
Check online for size restrictions of the 2 carry-ons for each airline you take.

I have a question though, has the 20" carry on restriction for international flights significantly impacted carrying the bundle like you packed in this video?
Many thanks, and again, great video.

The Baggallini Organizer (roaming dresser on the road) is very cute! Like that you give the weight:) 2 bundles is a good compromise if you are not staying put.
21lb (9.53kg) exceeds many international airline carry-on weight restrictions in 2017. If you change airlines the lower limit usually applies so best to check and take just a little less:)
