In French "W" is pronounced "double V" not "double U". What I know is that in Latin we can't make the différenciation between a U and a V because it was written like a "V" all the time in the antic inscriptions. Every day = adjective + noun = all days
British people have invented the horrible spelling. I am very glad that my native language have mostly phonetic writing.
