I am an aviation enthusiast and I am considering becoming a future pilot, however I have some drawbacks and questions regarding teh journey: 1. I have eye-sight I have -2.25 eye sight and no flight school makes it clear if it is possible to become a commercial pilot with this eye condition. 2. I am considering to do an aerospace engineering degree in Germany prior to becoming a licensed pilot Do you think that eats up too many years or is it worth it to do a bachelors before becoming a pilot?
Hi 👋 Thank you 😊 To answer your questions : 1. I don’t think that should be a Problem at all. But, the best way to know for sure is to schedule a Class 1 medical with an aeromedical examiner near to you. 2. It is always good to have extra degrees, it can’t hurt, it can only be useful. However, if you are planning a Pilot Career, I don’t see where you can use it. Unless you plan to change careers down the line, and something to consider then is, no experience in the field and old degree, can you easily get hired ? While fresh graduates have the same qualification ? I hope this helps

It depends on what is the issue, sometimes we think that the issue is worst than what it is. You can fly while wearing glasses. Please check with an Aeromedical examiner and they will tell you what you need to do in order to get your medical licence. Let me know if you have more questions 🙃

If it is in the UAE maybe you can find a school that will offer you a program that will match your schedule, otherwise it is going to take you some time if you do it abroad and I think, it will be difficult to travel on days off to get those flying hours, if you are working at the same time…

It depends on the situation, in my case the type rating was done within the airline so it was more expensive than doing it on your own. So it is a case by case scenario. For example, if company X is hiring pilots with low experience and a type rating is required, this can be done at an ATO of your choice.

The cost was around 70,000 Euros. Living in Belgium at the time, it was the only place I could secure a study loan from. That's the primary reason I chose a Flight School in Belgium. You can become a pilot without any capital, either through a loan like I did or through a Cadet Program. You can check out @poortopilot channel; he made a video about the Cadet programs.

Hi, Yes but it depends in which part of the world, in Europe, mostly with 200h straight after flight school. For Emirates, the current hours requirement is 2000 hours.

I had the minimum Flight school hours, around 200 Hours. The situation is different in Europe and other regions compared to the US

You can become a pilot without any capital, either through a loan like I did or through a Cadet Program. You can check out @poortopilot channel; he made a video about the Cadet programs.

No I didn’t need to convert to FAA. FAA is for the United States
Came in Ethiopian avition school payed 60.000$ and you learn 3 years and you can work any airline even Emirates airline

Hi, Yes but it depends in which part of the world, in Europe, mostly with 200h straight after flight school. For Emirates, the current hours requirement is 2000 hours.
