For the 79th Academy Awards in 2007, Ryan Gosling (27 years old by then) was nominated for an Oscar for his excellent work playing a teacher and a crack addict in 'Half Nelson'. He was one of the youngest nominees ever, right behind John Travolta for 'Saturday Night Fever'.
