    Always looking for old tools like these, never seen any plomb around though!

      Keep your eyes out! I think they are a bit more common on the west coast since they were made in Los Angeles.

    These are awesome! Any chance I can get one of those for my dad? He's always checking flea markets and garage sales for tools from "the good old days"

    Thanks! Liked your video. Sometimes called a "deflecting beam" torque wrench. Love the socket set - try Flitz.

    Those T handles work great with tap sockets. You might try using an ultrasonic cleaner on the sockets to get the funk off of them. Thanks for the shoutout! epic Livestream #3 coming soon👍

      I still have to dig out my ultrasonic cleaner! It's in a box somewhere.... And I'll have to try the T handles with tap sockets! Thanks!

    My friend who owns the 413 flatheads also has dual carb / dual exhaust 370 Dodge flathead sixes. He has two 1940 Dodge trucks he bought in the late 1950's and still drives and uses them for his scrap metal and antique car / truck wrecking yard that he started in 1953 and stills runs today. Over the years he has collected a large number of 1939 to 1947 Dodge trucks and several 1939 to 1941 Plymouth trucks. No Canadian Fargos yet. Some run and some are just for parts. All are still 6 volts and all have flathead six engines. If you are ever in the Napa California area, stop by Brian's Salvage and Junk. It is like going back 70 years in time. The whole place is like a living museum.

    What's the Chrysler brand engine in the background ? Did you know Chrysler built flathead six cylinder engines for HD Dodge trucks up to 413 cubic inches that came with dual carbs and dual exhaust. My good friend has several of these engines that came in garbage trucks and has one in a very large tow truck that was used for towing city buses and semi trucks. My same friend got me in collecting Plomb and Proto tools back in the late 1960's. He also uses them because he says thats what they were made for.

    • @thejunkyardnecromancer
      @thejunkyardnecromancer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The engine in the background is a Chrysler 218. I didn't know they made them all the way up to 413ci. That's super cool! Going to have to keep a look out for those. And it's nice to meet another Plomb and Proto connector! I absolutely love these tools.
