The fact that Enel is a great counter to Blue Doffy and has also a chance to beat BB makes this deck overall a top pick, whoever thinks Enel isn't Meta and "just a Rogue" deck is a fool
I'll 100% be looking at my op10 tier list when it's about to hit the west, but it was interesting that enel was nonexistent in the Tokyo Area 2 just a day later, despite being more prevalent in the meta.
The Blackbeard deck is interesting since other than the 10c BBs, it doesn't have any natural high power characters. So it's really relying on those Burgesses to stick and grow stronger over time. We definitely saw that happen when OP-09 was just released, so prioritizing removing those Burgesses by resting and KO'ing them through battle seems like a solid strategic gameplan. I wonder if eventually the BB deck will be tweaked to include some high power characters without on-play effects like OP-08 Kaido or Jack.
A lot of JP Enel players actually say Enel is favored vs Teach contrary to what you would believe. That's why they're feeling extra confident this set as it also farms Doffy. The generally just don't want to see PLuffy.
Genuine question, on the last turn why does the player attach all don to yamato? I was suprised seeing a 5k swing instead of a 6 or 7k swing with lead to force counter, i know commiting all don forced the block but itsn't their a world where they just counter out the ace attack and live? I suppose it wouldn't matter as he can't win next turn with barely any cards in hand and no characters on the field. And i suppose if u dont commit they might just block and counter out giving them two swings next turn
Good question! He wanted to force the Blackbeard to lose his blocker. Knowing his opponent’s deck, he picked up the notion that the attack would either be block or lose the game! The 10c Blackbeard needed to stay on the field to battle & push for game, but since it got KO’ed, there was no way the blackbeard wouldn’t lose in the next turn
Im pretty happy I have a playset of Raigos now. Not sure if I try my hand at Enel or wait for Op10 Kid/Nico Robin/PY Crocodile tho. All of them seem very interesting

I don’t think the BB player should’ve been swinging life so aggressively it makes it hard for him to climb out of the hole he put himself in when the Enel is staring at 9 cards at 1 life and like 2 Raigos and the Enel plays “Vanillas” to kill the BB. The BB player should’ve not touched his life till like 6-8 don turn especially if he was playing towards BB 10 cost cause of Raigo an then he can start pitching towards the Enel 8 don turn so he can keep as many cards in hand as possible to combat the Enel. This is just what you have to do against Enel to beat it since it runs 4 of Raigos and 4 of the blocker Shirahoshi. Like you can’t just swing Willy nilly into them and not expect to just get raigo’d every turn cause you gave them like 4 cards in hand lmao
@ I mean the list should be on 3-4 is it not? Cause the whole point is to have people hit you, you never go below 1 and you have like 11 cards in hand lol

I think it’s semi-balanced because it forces you to go to one life where as red roc is nothing but rest & play
