BMW F01 requires a few additional steps. Mine is a 2011 750ix. You need a T20 as well as a T25 torque bit to remove the airbag housing cover as well as Filter cover together. You then need to use 3 screws using T20 bit to remove air filter cover. When replacing carpet side panel set it and slide backward so it fits correctly before screw is placed. Also make sure when replacing panel the airbag tabs are secure underneath the panel tabs nicely.
Bad instruction about installing the new filters at the 2:50 mark...THE AIRFLOW ARROWS ON BOTH FILTERS NEED TO POINT TOWARDS THE CABIN NOT TOWARDS EACH OTHER AS YOU STATE. I thought this was strange when I first watched the video so I confirmed with the service desk at my local BMW dealership. Otherwise a great video, thanks!
Very cool man...I rewatched the video because the ones I pulled out were as you stated...Thank you!...Now I have to go take it all apart and switch the outside one around...(didn't put it all back together, thank God lol)
Just to confirm what SR said... the previous filters in my 2015 740Ld were installed with both arrows going towards the cabin (towards you as you install the filters). It was also confirmed by the installation graphic on the filters’ packaging.
Hello, I have a 2013 750LI and there is a listing for a cabin air filter for the rear auxiliary ac. Would you have a video on how to replace that one? Thank you greatly for your time! I sincerely appreciate it. Have a great day.

Great video, thanks. Only issue I'm having is putting the panel back! The screws do not line up, any advice?
Getting a flash light to light up the area can definitely make things easier.
