My sync module 2 killed a sandisk 256gb usb drive, was causing issues on module and pc will not let me do anything with the drive, drive was brand new bought specific for the sync module. Replaced it with a used 128 sandisk i had laying around it have no issues, something killed the original too many overwrites or something
My sync model only record on usb for a day when I take of the power shortly. I am consider to place an Tapo power timer to shut off the power for a minute a day.
Mine say backup fail it always say that everyday sent me a notification saying back up fail idk what to do and i have over 500 clips i have the trail for the cloud on
Same problem. Tried two brand new modules. Very frustrating, I sent an email to blink explaining everything, we will see or I'm taking everything back and using another brand of camera
that’s some basic ass troubleshooting, none of it worked. Have done this with 2 different blink systems 2 years apart from each other. Both times I’ve had to update the firmware for it to work. First time back in 2022 I had to use a usb to download the file and flash update the firmware. Today in November 2024 I was able to just call blink tech support and they pushed the firmware update over the air, I updated from 15.9 something to 16.0 and now it works. I hope this helps people who are tearing their hair out. Reddit helped
I have an issue where in the "Clip List" shows the time a little over 30 minutes behind; anyone else getting this issue. Yes, I set my time zone correctly. This is a minutes issue and not hours.
my local storage is in online status but is alway's in 1% storage used , i try to plug in & look up in my macbook is empty do you know how to solved this issues ?
I have videos saved but can't viiew then what so ever on local storage in at my wife's end or it's just going to eat up space . Have module 2 n usb drive 😊
Yeah u don’t needs power cycle so much bro. I’ve got 3 separate blink systems and I just cycle it whenever it goes down like once or twice a year, at that point I’m not sure if it’s blink or the internet
Thank you this was useful.

How can I make my sync module to store the videos of my other cameras? It only saves the doorbell
Mine say backup fail it always say that everyday sent me a notification saying back up fail idk what to do and i have over 500 clips i have the trail for the cloud on
Non of these options worked, my brand new Sync Module 2 is not saving videos locally
@oxhp90 is your flash drive showing up on the Blink app, under local storage?

Videos often stop recording after a few days. I have to delete the sync module and add it again to fix the problem.
have you found a fix, this keeps happening to me, changing usb drives does not fix the problem and cannot keep doing this forever
I don't have an issue with it recording to usb but it will not record proper time. It is off by 5 hours. Any way to fix this?
change the timezone in the app

The usb shows up as connected on the app but wont save clips idk why i did everything in the video multiple times
That is really weird.
Did you try using a different pendrive? It could be a format issue.
@@blinqblinqtech i think its working I literally just unplugged it and now it works magically even though i did that before idk what fixed it

hmm it could be a format issue.
Did you try formatting the drive using the blink app?
@@blinqblinqtech did you mean i have to install blink app on my mac? 🙏🏽
Not fixing any of my issues.
