Royal Cam Albatross ~ OGK Gives His QT a Great Feeding! 💕 Wee Paddles, Wings & Cute Yawns! 2.1.22

OGK is a master at feeding! It takes him a few minutes to be able to regurgitate the highly dense & nutritious squid oil from his proventriculus. The proventriculus is the first part of a bird's stomach, where digestive enzymes are mixed with food before it goes to the gizzard. It is analogous to the gizzard in insects and crustaceans. When OGK bends over, he is able to start the regurgitation process and his chick is able to reach up into his bill to feed. Nature is amazing!
Be sure to watch little QT scratch its head with its wee paddles! That is just to cute. Also will flap its tiny wings and do some big yawns! QT now weighs in at 460g! Thank you for watching!
