Had the great pleasure of seeing the band in Edinburgh in May; Caleb asked for songs to be played, I shouted Reuben's Train, and they played it! Four brilliant musicians , one super brilliant band. Hopefully I'll get to see them in the USA ! Keep playing and touring guys, you bring so much joy to many people. Thank you.

Floyd is a really cool town. It’s the Bluegrass Mecca of the World. We stayed at Hotel Floyd.Which had a bandstand in front of the rooms. I think the sign said they had a BG band play there on Thursdays. We couldn’t stay that long. The saloon in Town has BG bands playing maybe nightly. There is also a Floydfest each year with multiple bands rotating. If you love Bluegrass, you have to check Floyd out for their schedule.

Foghorn needs to spend more time in Appalachia where they are truly appreciated. Their stomping grounds in the Pacific Northwest does not deserve them.
I think there's a thriving old time scene up there, but I would also like to see them around my parts more. I think it's on us to share the music so they can sell tickets.
@@zimmcal I am in the Missouri Ozarks, not anywhere near Western Virginia. I do have a first cousin that is only about 30 miles from Floyd's, and I keep urging he to go visit it. She is from Maine, but her husband is a Virginian. I think she would like their music. I just notice how much the audience at Floyd's enjoys the music.
As good as the Foggys are, there are a lot of excellent bands in Appalachia and a finite number of paying jobs, but here In the PNW they are the reigning Big Dogs.

One someone who understands banjo answer a question? Is the banjo player "Frailing" as it does not look like "Clawhammer" I have seen others do? Whatever, his hand is moving so very fast!!! Very nice indeed!
Yes, he is frailing , or " rapping " the banjo ....but mostly just keeping a fast rhythm going ... not trying to make any attempt at a melody line ...his banjo job here is to keep the dancers feet moving :)
