    Do a video about the front and end collision sensors.. they are problematic.. because we don't quite understand them.

    The SV trim just comes standard with forward emergency warning, not pedestrian detection... You have pedestrian detection on the SL trim... That's why the car didn't stop

      drew well I got the FWD SV but on the dash it says emergency break is on. So it should be a break

    I’ve had my 2018 SL AWD Rogue for 2 months now it’s brand new it only had 9 miles on it when I got it and 10 day after getting it my FEB light came on! My FEB has came on twice while driving on the interstate with no other vehicles around me think goodness or nothing obstructing the camera! The first time it happen to me I got a picture of it! Took it to the dealership show the photo and they scanned for codes and of course nothing popped up! Service manager said if I could get a video of it in action so that they can have proof! On May 19th once again on the interstate nothing around me the light came on and the FEB was engaged! I had to keep my foot on the gas paddle again so the vehicle wouldn’t stop and I was finally able to get a video of the FEB light blinking off and on! I have well over a minute of video on my iPhone! The light blink off and on for over 3 minutes! I took it back to the dealership yesterday June 6 and no codes popped up again even showed the video and they told me to call Nissan consumer affairs and make a claim with them! I did now I’m waiting for a return call from them! I would say GET VIDEOS of the FEB in action so that if anything happens to you you can have proof! Also make sure you call Nissan consumer affairs and make a claim!! Because you’re putting yourself and others in harms way! This is a very serious issue that needs to be fixed ASAP!

    My 2019 front sonar camera went out just out of warranty. Over $2,000 to fix it. NOT!!! I just put up with the warning light everytime I start it.

    You forgot to mention that it not only stops for ghosts, but also the handbook warns of activations by shadows, corners, street furniture and dips in the road.

    Ok, so this has happened to me twice in the last week. There was nothing in front of my car either time. I was doing about 40 miles an hour both times. The first time the orange warning lights flashed and it felt like the gas pedal stopped working. Then last night it happened again, same spot of roadway as last weeks incident, only last night the warning sounded and the red triangle displayed in the dash and it felt like the brakes applied. Scared the heck out of me. Again nobody in front of me... I have a dash cam we have played them both back numerous times and there is absolutely nothing in the roadway.

      @drew3774 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Loretta Duus are the roads rough that you were driving? Sometimes the systems can be sensitive if you drive through rough roads at high speeds..... For example if you drive to quick through a pot hole this could trigger the system.. I work for Nissan and we have not seen any problems like if... What does your dealership say?

    I have the same issue as other people are reporting. My rogue 2018 does emergency break without nothing in front of it. Is there a way to permanently turn off the system

    • @mcdonalds4399
      @mcdonalds4399 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Droyd Ross Idk if it's permanent or not but you can go to settings, on driver assistance look through the menus until you find the Driving Aids and select the emergency brake option to disable it... Hope this works!

      @TakeItFromMe. 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my new 2018 leaf is the same. you can only turn it off every time you drive which means every time you get back in it comes back on again. given that I drive my car about 10 times a day that is 70 key presses per day before I even move a wheel. if I had known about this before I bought the car I would never have bought it. If forget to disable the system sometimes . it stops if someone has placed a temporary road sign on the pavement or if I drive around a corner where there is a crash barrier or road sign. I have had 3 near misses now where the car has stopped and people have nearly gone into the back of me.. and of course they give me abuse for stopping for no reason. but it's too late to take the car back now for a refund. I am so pissed off that Nissan have fitted a system which makes the car more dangerous to drive and its not possible to permanently disable it. my next option is to try putting stickers or foil over the radar or whatever crap is causing the problems.

    My new 2018 Nissan Rogue shuts down while driving. It did it less than a month after purchasing it. I've had it for 6 months now and it has done it 3 times now. Nissan has down nothing to fix this. This is dangerous.

    My 2017 has this and hard breaks and stops on the train tracks in town that are on a steep hill. This was reported to my local dealership but they can't fix it. It needs to be recalled! My husband's rav4 has this but not this problem. #FEBFAIL #AEBFAIL #ROGUEFAIL

    • @erinrohweder4702
      @erinrohweder4702 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No and with Christmas and some health issues I haven't gotten around to trying to figure out who to get a hold of to get it fixed or recalled. There is a another rouge in my same town and same year with the same problem. I thank God that it didn't happen when I had rushed a friends daughter to the ER. not sure why it doesn't always happen. Normally I remember to turn it off. that day was different but there was snow on the ground.

    ANYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO GET A LEMON LAW LAWYER AND SUE NISSAN FOR A FULL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE AND BRING IT TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES TO BE FIXED. I GOT A FULL REFUND AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN.

    Can we start a class action lawsuit. Nissan had a ‘specialist’ come out and look at my problem with FEB (stopping with nothing in front of me). They said they couldn’t find anything and basically too bad

    • @drew3774
      @drew3774 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I doubt it, you need more people with the same problem... Like I said before I work for Nissan and the dealership I work for covers most of the midwest and no one has ever reported this issue.. this is the first time for me to see these things happening... Mike crimmins I think that you need to go to the dealership again and ask them to reset the system and to reset the FEB system.... After that is done you should have no issues.OR go for a car wash and clean the radar and make sure there isn't anything blocking the radar. For example if a leaf go stuck behind the plastic piece that could possibly make the car to react as if it was a car.

      Hey Kathy! Question...I just got my 2018 Rogue last night and I was in my parking garage at work and it did it to me three times. SCARED the heck out of me!!!!! I haven't gone back out to my car to do what I think I can do to disable it but did it feel like you were going over something like a grate or cattle guard when it happens? I CANNOT deal with that. Just curious.

    • @kathymcel
      @kathymcel 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angebaber there was nothing at all in front of us or on the road. Nissan checked the system and they found nothing. There is a way to turn it off. I might do that
