Ha ha; this was charming and gave me a big smile. I'd always assumed that Jonesy was a general "ship's cat" rather than belonging to Ripley specifically, but either way works for me. He was a great little addition to a great movie, and deserved an Oscar for "best supporting animal."
Sigourney Weaver loves animals - but is allergic to cats. The crew did their best to keep HER away from the cats - not the other way around. In all scenes with Jonesy Weaver was pumped up on antihistamines and other medications to keep the allergies in check.
No - it's a world thing. You call them orange, ginger, red and marmalade tabbies. Just your personal preference, my dude🙂In Norway we mainly use "orange"🙂
Great Video!!!!
That's amazing.
It'll be fantastic if you 'll keep doing this kind of videos analyzing diffent cats from movies!
Keep it up!
Jonesy and Ripley are characters in Dead By Deadlight as well! I really enjoyed this video!
I named my tabby Jonesy in honor of Alien's orange cat :) nice video.

Being ex-Navy, I assumed he was the ship's cat, but that he and Ripley got along best among the crew.
Do a profile on Lúculo in "Apocalypse Z" and Frodo in "A Quiet Place: Day One"😄

I can't hear you. Jones was great, maybe try doing this again.
Thanks for letting us know! Is it okay now? (It seems okay on this end.)
@@mainecatlab It was a little low, but with a volume tweak, just fine. I didn't even have to turn it up to "11."
@@mainecatlab It's just very low, but it's okay. Thank you!
Funny and interesting, even though you slipped in that "mansplainin'" jab. No hard feelings.
Why are these cats being referred to as orange when they are ginger clearly ? 🤔 or is this just a american thing ? 🤔
