Buen día. Gracias por este circuito . Lo hice use un mosfet IRFZ44N y funciona de maravillas. Monte el transistor en un disipador mediano y lo alimente con 2 baterías de ion litio de 3.7 volt en serie con una también funciona. SOS un genio . Dios te bendiga mucho más. Ojo las baterias calientan un poco y consume como 6 amperes cuando hay arco.
Incase if anyone wondering how he got 15kv from 12v its fairly simple First of all this is a simple swicthing circuit that relies on the feedback winding. The current goes though the feedback coil thus making the transistor collector and emmiter path conductive,so when the current passes the main primary winding so there is no more sufficient energy charging the gate of the transistor thus the transistor swicthes off and there is no current running between the primary and the whole process starts again. And finnaly a flyback transformer has a large amound of winding on its Secondary thus the voltage is stepped up,and the frequancy of this circuit might be roughly 20-50khz depending on the transistor type,swicthing cycle,feedback duty cycle,and the arcs drawen There might be some gramatical error but i did my best to explain this circuit
Good old blocking oscillator. Looks like your power supply is trying to crap out at too much current or something but other than that it looks like decent arcs. Someone just gave me like 4 flybacks so I'm about to go ham putting them in series lol.
Very simple design. I would like to see this done with 12 volt power supply that can power the circuit properly such as mine that outputs 13.6 volts @ 30 amps . Also I love your intro to your vid (first time on your channel) how it has the traveling through the pcb world there.
bro flyback transformer needs high frequency like 15-25khz because this type of transformer core made of iron oxide/ferrite and they works well at high frequency other hand a simple 12v ac contain only 50hz so it never work
GREAT VIDEO!! What kind of current is available? It may sound strange, but I need a voltage like this to charge a huge 150lb pulse capacitor 12kVdc (70uF), that's just over 5kJ. If this supply can supply only 5mA at 10kvac, I can charge the cap to the desired 10kV in less than 2-1/2 minutes. This is plenty fast enough as it is a demo, which includes watching the voltmeter rise while things are explained (quarter shrinker).
