    I remember my first day here with my dad 2001 on a hot summer day splashing in the fountain .. 12 years later I was grinding the ledges , hitting the 3 stairs , countless games of skate countless skaters I’ve met from other cities and countries even at this place. My favorite Philly parts Josh Khalis , Stevie Williams DGK.

    Damn I remember old contest vids early 90s with Spencer fujimo, Jamie Thomas before was a household name,Bam Margera at 11 years old with the fakie kid ripper tricks, easter exposure with Ricky oyola Givin the wired for sound guided tour with like 30 takes Flippin out cuz it wasn't easy to talk in the mic and bust a flawless run obstacles to obstacles, fools like Quim Cardona comin through with power and style for days, Donny barley Killin the whole shit, respectfully stevie Williams and Josh kalis puttin all of Philadelphia not just love on the skate world's radar through vhs and cutouts tacked to the wall,all comers try a take there place in history by busting anything they could down the fountain gap, cameos,intros from the roots beat boxin to keep shit real,Anthony poppa and Brian wenning dedicated to being the next generation through technical artwork on a deck, then doing just that and seemingly with the eaz setting new standards in versatility and consistency, and finally every pro worth there sand bringin there own flavor to LOVE getting mad love from the city of brotherly love. I'm killa Cali from birth n back to earth, but got Hella memories through time from a place I ain't never been. skateboarding does that. R.I.P. LOVE PARK, HUBBA HIDEOUT,WALLENBERG and many more legendary spots. if u got one in your town get down before it's torn down! my bad for the endless comment. Keep Rollin kids it's your world!

    A FCKING LEGAL SKATE PLAZA ( PARK)
    26,000,000.00 is renovations to put grass n bladed benches ( so u cant skate)
    Foh, someone walked away with fat pockets because 26, million didnt go into renovations. Thts for dam sure

  • @JohnDuthie

    Love has been dead since Philly banned skateboarding after capitalizing on the x-games, but it's still sad to see a landmark spot get torn down.

  • @ابونسيييبة
    @ابونسيييبة 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    The park will open up again next spring but will feature major changes for skateboarders like flattened out stairs replaced with grass, flatlands, trees and flower beds the renovation will cost 19.6 million dollars. But mainly the big changes are more grass and things like that little next to no concrete. All of the granite and concrete will be donated to local Philadelphia skateparks across the city. There are many articles online.

      😂🤣 yo thats how i felt about colorado skaters when i 1st moved to colorado .....i grew up in houston, tx where the winter is mild.... So Colorado had me freezing freezing...but thats where a actually learned the big difference of adaptation between states that have cold winters and states that have mild winters...see when u grow up in a place with mild winters and when you come across the random super cold days we feel like we gone freeze to death and wonder how can people in northern states deal with that type of cold every single day ..and see thats thing i learned staying in colorado since colorado is consistently cold everyday through the winter my body was actually able to adapt to it to where my body started feeling a little warmer than it did back home on those random cold days ....but see when its a place with a mild winter you can't adapt to the cold ...because the temperatures keep switching up from warm to hot to cold back to warm and then cold again ...the human body can't adapt to cold like that.... but when its a consistently cold temperature everyday ur body can actuallt adapt to it...... so the longer i lived on colorado i was able skate in those crazy cold conditions and feel fine

    • @ZingoBananaa
      @ZingoBananaa 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hate to break it to you, but the park seems to only be a replica of a small part of Love Park.
      The wording is a bit deceiving if you ask me "...det vi ser bakom oss är en replika av originalmaterial från Love Park gjort på centimetern, exakt enligt originalritningarna från Philadelphia" seems to suggest the park will be rebuilt exactly the same, when in actuality it's only a small part of a sidewalk from the park they're building behind the church near Triangeln.

    • @again5162
      @again5162 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly build your own skate park from your own funds, the renovation of this park is now family and pet friendly ( includes alligators)before it was dangerous and had a bunch of skateboards flying around the place and only skateboarders occupied the park no other demographic. Plus a load of skateboard losers would try to sue the city when they hurt thierselves doing tricks on city property. It's way better now the skateboard cults have been removed and families can enjoy a central high use area. Those skateboarder bums bought a fire barrel in winter they are just antisocial cults
