She has inspired me to really be brave and more patterns and colors into my quilts. Love the idea of using black and white patterned fabric as the background instead of a solid. Wow!! Love the conversation about trends! I’m a new quilter and I love the old and the new designs because it is all new to me. I love the new modern graphic, colorful designs, but I also love the more traditional styles. I think a more seasoned quilter may follow the trends more because they have already made a lot of quilts. Thanks for sharing the shop tour!
What a wonderful shop! On my bucket list! I've already got the applique book and hopefully will get in a class w/you next year! One question...what type of batting did you use in Seeds and Stems? I know your hand quilting helps to keep it soft, but it looks so drapable. You're quite the inspiration...I've got the fabric, now I need your guidance to be able to work with it! I have not seen 1 quilt in your shop that I don’t love! What a discovery! Sadly in Europe we hardly can find your fabrics and posting from abraod is sooooo expensive and on top of that we have to pay huge taxes!
My kind of quilts. Lots of va va room! Modern print overload. None of these quilts are your style Yvette. Perhaps you will come around to the dark side and embrace modern prints.
