What an amazing video, Saurian! Congrats, and thanks for sharing your in-sight on both animals. I have to say, Erythrosuchus is my favorite. The new models look absolutely fantastic, way better than the old ones. Tormer really did a fantastic job with the proportions, this thing actually look like an alien organism, and very Carnivore-esque. The way it moves is very uncanny, as it feels like a slow-moving predator, but surprisingly, it isn't. Venaticosuchus is excellent too, I love the random "charging" animation, just like our beloved postosuchus. Btw, I LOVED your analyzes on their behaviour and niches. You know, I'm an amateur naturalist irl, and seeing these speculative ecological behaviours on this eerie alien planet is amazing, and it is a thing I don't see much often in the community. Man, this game is really amazing - the perfect combination of the mysterious retro dinosaur allure, with science. Again, loved the vid. It's always a pleasure to watch your content. :)

Great video Saurian! I also prefer this version of the erythro because the old one’s skin just looked to realistic (if that makes sense). Idk they just didn’t have the “Carnivores” feel. Edit: love the idle animations when it’s mouth is open
Thank you! Yeah the old Erythro definitely wasn’t canon-styled, but I think this new one is a huge improvement. Definitely has a lot of that Carnivores character and charm!
That Venaticosuchis looks absolutely magnificent : sleek model, pretty animations, beautiful textures, I love the soundwork as well, especially for the kill Only thing that bugs me is that walking animation, it looks like it’s hovering above the ground… maybe a fix in the animation’s speed, or a fix in the creature’s actual speed so it matches the animations ? This would make it truly flawless
Really love the Triassic Erythrosuchus. It’s one of those things where there’s some extinct animals you imagine as a certain color, even if there’s no direct evidence to back it up- Erythrosuchus is orange to me.
I had Carnivores 2 as a kid and it (with Jurassic Park) gave me these reoccurring nightmares, would absolutely love when I had them (after I woke up). Love your content! ❤

Just like Estrosuchus and Postasuchus, Fasalosuchus wasn't a Dinosaur, but a sort of Crocodilamorph, and it was the biggest of it's kind. The Fasalosuchus in FMMUV-32 would easily make itself the top of the food chain if it wanted to, being around the size of a Rex or Giga
A great book series actually depicts the usage of a similar dinosaur to Venaticosuchus as calvary mounts in an alternate world set in the 1940s for our characters. The author's name is Taylor Anderson for those wondering.

Yes, it is possible! I’ve got a brand new rig running Windows 10, and there are some issues on occasion (Carnivores is finicky on newer machines), but it can be done!

It’s a problem a lot of people are experiencing. Some in the community have found a fix for some mods, I’m planning to make a video on how to fix it soon
It always bugged me that the plesiosaurus was never huntable in carnivores 2. The first time seeing one, i was using fly cheat and booked it from a random allosaurus mob which gave me a heart attack as a kid. I touched down thinking i was good, it spawned and stole my soul.
