Found you by watching the hidden room video, and have been watching all of them since.Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. You do a really great job of explaining what you’re doing and bringing us along.
I am a Harbor Freight coupon shopper. Your Harbor Freight store is a lot bigger, cleaner and more organized than mine here in San Angelo, Texas. But the employees at the store in Angelo do a great job with what they have. My free gifts are predominately flash lights and tape measures.
Thanks for sharing, I went to Harbor Freight yesterday and got some tools for my car. I enjoyed watching your videos and saved money by shopping at Harbor Freight for my tools.
While we'd like more videos, more importantly we hope everything is ok with you - maybe just leaving a comment would sure make your fans feel better and let us know you're ok................
Coming to Vegas for my first trip there at the end of the month. I know you haven't posted in a while, but if you read this I would like to take you to lunch or something while I'm in town if you have the time. Your videos have helped me get started with the Van restoration work, but it's not looking as good or going as smooth as yours !
Thanks for the review! I’m in the process of picking one up but waited for a review to make sure. Thank god they are getting better brands at decent prices.
Nice video Bad luck with my purchase of this item: First try, no air to the dual head chuck. I opened the chuck and found it plugged with ground-up rubber. After cleaning out the rubber particles I noticed there was no check-valve in the chuck. So, lots of air now, but blowing from both sides of the chuck, making it unusable. Not a big deal to replace a check-valve in this type of air valve, except I could not find replacement parts for a "Merlin" air-chuck anywhere. Looks like the Merlin is designed to be a disposable air-chuck.
I also have experienced best tire pressure gauges of the dial face type. One catch: They cannot be dropped. If you drop a dial face gauge, its accuracy will be compromised. Also, avoid the $ 1.99 stick type gauges.
Most truck stops don't have the correct Guage to use , I usually remove what they have and use the one that's straight not at at an angle because it's difficult to get the the inner tire , could I use this to take advantage of the tire pressure Guage? Would the normal hose line work?
Our store is a bit old and not so large, but they are working on making it better. I have multitudes of the freebees...however they just put a six piece set of cleaning brushes on coupon! Something I need! Goodwill is next door, so a trip to HF includes Goodwill, too. I might add...it looks like the quality of HF stuff is really getting better.
Get the Milton S506, made in USA, and it doesn't just have replaceable parts "in theory", they actually have the parts. Did you see the replacement parts for that at Harbor Freight? If not then they don't exist for all practical purposes.
Hey Steve, I got a new tool. A Makita cordless circular saw to do siding and other stuff. Blade on left side of motor same as wormdrive. Works great. Also rented a scaffold to do exterior work. It's got to be about time for you to make a trip to Harbor Freight. Miss ya man, take care...
I like the way you touched the gauge before you bought it, pretty funny. Used this type before, not this brand, just don’t drop it because it can ruin the calibration in time. Good video Sir!
Thanks for the good info, I just subscribed! Where is your Harbor Freight, it's way bigger and nicer than mine? Also have you tried any of the clip or screw on style inflators... I like not having to squat or kneel while trying to keep the head seated on the valve-stem especially when it takes a while to air up large tires! Thanks
I got one but it has a gauge on it. It’s a big round dial gauge. Or maybe the gauge came separate. Always a good day at HF. I couldn’t get the bargain exact knife to work, but that maybe operator error too. Lol! Me too tape measures every where. Garage kitchen , office. Lol. Man I like that, may have to upgrade.
Xplorer Steve, I blame you for my new Harbor Freight addiction. I saw the video you made with your daughter and wondered why I haven't been to a harbor freight in 15 to 20 years. Well I moved out of San Jose and now the nearest harbor freight is about 30 miles away. So I made a special trip there and signed up and now I'm getting all their catalogs and emails. I've been there 3 times since and spent about $200. I am the proud owner of a torque wrench($11.99), angle grinder($9.99), and a whole bunch of other things that's nice to have but will probably never use. I have the most perfectly torqued Lugnuts in the neighborhood. I almost bought a welder, but settled for welding gloves for when I barbecue.
I don't have that particular set and so cannot comment. Check the website where they have customer reviews from verified purchasers. That will tell you what not to buy from HF. Tool buyers are brutally honest, i have found.
Hi xplorer Steve. I just bought a 1999 Dodge xplorer 230 xlw. Actually it's identical to yours except mine has the electric couch. My question is if I plug in something to a 110 outlet does the Onan generator automatically start or do I have to manually start it first and then plug something into a 110 outlet.
If you pause at 4:25 (also at about 9:00) you can see that the end is a double-head... one head faces away and the other faces backwards at about 45 degree angles. A single-head would be like the standard stick style pressure gauge he shows just after that!
The smell in Harbor Freight is a chemical that companies use to keep products from sticking to the plastic packaging like blister packs and anything under clear plastic. There are a lot of products packaged like this in Harbor Freight.
Do you know of any place that sells an airhose inflator that works with presta valves also? This is NOT a new item from harbor freight as I have one at least 10 years old that has worked flawlessly. I'd sure like to find an end that also inflates presta valves, though.
@James rudman I've got an aluminum one with an O ring sold by Penn Cycle. It's not a money issue, it's a time issue. I'd still like a dedicated filler because you have to unscrew that adapter then unscrew the valve stem then reapply the adapter EVERY time you want to make an air adjustment. It's a royal pita. Be much easier just to have the right end from the beginning but when I try to google up one I only see them sold on hand air pumps. Why not let us fill them from our compressors too?
PS, I asked my bike store, Penn Cycle and they say they've never seen or heard of one. You gotta be kidding me! The air compressor is the better option and no one makes an easy filler end for it? I don't want to have to buy a hand air pump, too.
I'm looking to upgrade / replace mine too... I have a Porter Cable oil-less rated for 150psi it can't really do much over 135! It works for now but builds pressure slowly and is loud as crap!
Nice for anything be for 2008... After that you find TPMS on cars and trucks.. For those you WILL need a Digital tire pressure meter.. analog is not accurate enough for that system..
lol, Sorry but you sound like my 70 year old father who has said sex just isn't as exciting as getting a new tool is when you explain it, Love It Steve.
That mothball smell! Never been all that picky about tire inflators. More so on gauges. Their 9mil nitrile gloves are the bomb! Had a single pair last nearly a week installing a CNC laser. But their airline connectors, they all leak.
lmao omg, I have the black one too... And I'm here because I was hoping I was doing something wrong because it's not accurate at all. It's off by about 4psi. So I still have to check my pressure with other cheaper tools! What a fucking disappointment. I'm going to return it. Unfortunately, the price goes up up and up.
Those inflators are garbage I threw mine out. Fills very slowly and leaks air. I took it apart and it uses non standard fittings on the hose that connects to the air chuck. Buy the Milton!
Found you by watching the hidden room video, and have been watching all of them since.Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. You do a really great job of explaining what you’re doing and bringing us along.
Where you been??? We are getting worried........

I buy from Harbor freight, but for that price, I'd just have bought the Milton for about the same money.
Exactly

I enjoy going into China - woops - Harbor Freight but your store is much nicer than the ones up here....
Great video! I’d like to see your chip wood work table next time looks good. Thanks
where are you where are you?
Thanks for the review! I’m in the process of picking one up but waited for a review to make sure. Thank god they are getting better brands at decent prices.
Xplorer Steve where are you? it's been so long without a new video.
Agree, hope all is well with you Steve, we miss your videos. At least give us a brief update as proof of life.
Nice video

Sorry to hear that. Mine is going strong. Hope you returned it.
Where you go?
Hope all is well.
I also have experienced best tire pressure gauges of the dial face type. One catch: They cannot be dropped. If you drop a dial face gauge, its accuracy will be compromised. Also, avoid the $ 1.99 stick type gauges.

You slept with that under your pillow didn't you Steve.
It looks well made and true in your pressure comparison. Take care...
Well I did hug and kiss it when I got home.
Miss your videos Steve. hope you start back soon.
Are you still around? Miss your videos!!!
Were are you.... miss your movies
It seems like they're opening up new stores every week. There is a Goodwill on the way to my store as well.
Be sure to stop in. I no longer buy shirts at regular stores.
Hope you and your family are well, Steve! Miss your videos.
Glad to bump into you at the gym..... wow, it has been a while since you made a video.
Did you get to speak with him? Curious if he's done vlogging or just taking a long break. Hope he is well.
God Bless you Steve I hope you are doing good. Have a Merry Christmas, I hope you get to see your kids for Christmas. Wish you well brother.
I found the Milton Mil506 looks exactly the same. Costs a couple dollars more on Amazon. Good deal.
Milton is good.
I believe the Milton version is made in the USA.
Love the smell, too. Don't get me started on Tire stores...
I don't know why it is intoxicating. When I was a kid my dad used to take me to a place called Western auto. They all have that same smell.
@@XplorerSteveDIY - We had a Western Auto in Hilo, HI that didn't smell all that great. Kinda musty and moldy.
We got out Pittsburgh air compressor from Harbor Freight. It is a great store.
Its beem 6 months steve where are you at? Hope youre okay
Get the Milton S506, made in USA, and it doesn't just have replaceable parts "in theory", they actually have the parts. Did you see the replacement parts for that at Harbor Freight? If not then they don't exist for all practical purposes.
I bought a pair of Milwaukee brand scissors, quality does feel good.
Can't go wrong with quality on those things we use most often.
Hope u are good
If you have a smartphone, download the HF coupon app. All the deals and coupon is on there. You don't have to clip out paper ones anymore.
I do get the coupons however none for this particular sale.
Where are you at Steve? Hoping all is well. Enjoy your content.
I watched the video again now i do want one.
Wait for 25% off coupon.
Hahaha GREAT video stevo! super editing made it super enjoyable
! like your style buddy!
Well, i came in to do my annual checkup on this channel and this absence is highly unusual. I hope you are just out making new adventures.
I think it is a copy of a Marvin gauge.
Thanks
Great video! A lot of nice tools are coming out at harbor freight. They still have a lot to improve but they have a lot of good stuff.
How much? Looks the same as the Milton (S-506) or EPAuto Commercial Grade Dual Head Tire Inflator Gauge with Air Hose
How do you like that air compressor ?
Hope your doing well..miss your videos. take care.
Amigo! Are you ok? Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We hope everything is going well.
You don't need girlfriends you have Harbor Freight. Saw the way you caressed the Tire Air Inflator. All most made me want one. cheers DIY
We need some new content Steve!
Ahhhh the dreaded coupon.....such a luring device to keep Explorer Steve HAPPY.... Great Video... Cheesehead Likes & Approves...
Thanks Dave.
Hey some day you should do TH-cam live session.....Q&A would be cool....I would like that...
Very good Steve, did you use your 25% on the 4th ?
Nope. Busy on the 4th.
The original milton is about the same price, the real thing and parts available if needed
That’s the nicest HF I have ever seen!!!
Did u get the air hose from HF too?
Website to order parts?
Hope you are well Steve.
Hope you and your family are ok. Hope you can post again soon.
I got one but it has a gauge on it. It’s a big round dial gauge. Or maybe the gauge came separate. Always a good day at HF. I've seen those types with the big round gauge. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have this one for life. Then my kids after that.
Xplorer Steve DIY 👍
Hey Steve, waiting for a new upload. Take care.
Xplorer Steve, I blame you for my new Harbor Freight addiction. I saw the video you made with your daughter and wondered why I haven't been to a harbor freight in 15 to 20 years. Ha ha, you're welcome!
I still have a set of 5 pipe wrenches from 25 years ago...the 3 foot 50lb wrench hangs in my garage like an art piece... :)
Hey Steve, What do you think the quality of the HF 20 pcs air compressor starter kit? I'm planning on getting one.
I don't have that particular set and so cannot comment. Check the website where they have customer reviews from verified purchasers. That will tell you what not to buy from HF. Tool buyers are brutally honest, i have found.
Hi Steve big fan when your bike is mounted on rear is your tag unobstructed has to be completely visible average hundred dollar ticket
Start it if you are not connected to shore power.
"gas station quality, back in the olden days" Those had to and did take a beating. Yeah those were heavy duty
I know, right?
Good buy.
I hope all is okay with you .
What's the difference between Dual Head and Single Head for the inflator?
If you pause at 4:25 (also at about 9:00) you can see that the end is a double-head... one head faces away and the other faces backwards at about 45 degree angles. A single-head would be like the standard stick style pressure gauge he shows just after that!
Xplorer Steve where are you?
I'm told that the odor in HF is the smell of Chinesium.
Sounds like AvE
The smell in Harbor Freight is a chemical that companies use to keep products from sticking to the plastic packaging like blister packs and anything under clear plastic. There are a lot of products packaged like this in Harbor Freight.
i'm sold
Do you know of any place that sells an airhose inflator that works with presta valves also?
This is NOT a new item from harbor freight as I have one at least 10 years old that has worked flawlessly. I'd sure like to find an end that also inflates presta valves, though.
It IS new. There are originals of which I am sure this is a copy. The business end is threaded and would accommodate an adapter for Presta Valves.
Nope, HF has sold those before I'm telling you.I'm absolutely sure of it.
John Possum just buy the presta to Schrader valve adapter. Brass ones are only a couple bucks.
Good video xs always enjoy
LOL great sense of humor.
Hi,We like some awesome camping videos,
How loud is the air compressor? My sears is wearing out.
Sounds like a normal oil compressor. Much better than the oilless ones.Check their website for the Decibels.
Xplorer Steve DIY cool! Thanks!👍
papawoody LOL! too funny! Figures huh? 👍👍👍
I'm looking to upgrade / replace mine too... I have a Porter Cable oil-less rated for 150psi it can't really do much over 135! It works for now but builds pressure slowly and is loud as crap!
Seems pretty nice for $30
Skip to 4:19 for the review. Before that is "drive to the store garbage".
Xplorer Steve ?????? where are you ???????
Nice for anything be for 2008... After that you find TPMS on cars and trucks.. For those you WILL need a Digital tire pressure meter.. analog is not accurate enough for that system..
I bet if you tried you could find a Harbor Freighter’s Anonymous in your area. 😬
Yes but then where would I find joy in my life?
All real men need an HFA support group! :)
lol, Sorry but you sound like my 70 year old father who has said sex just isn't as exciting as getting a new tool is when you explain it, Love It Steve.
Is it on Rainbow?
It is on Craig.
I like the one on Rainbow too however.
The first HF I went to was a DUMP near Tropicana and I-15. It was in a low ceiling ancient warehouse.
Xplorer Steve DIY that was the closest to where I lived.
lol, I agree with the tape measure thing 😉
You crack me up, XS. Seriously though...you left HF without buying the holster? You're gonna need a holster for that thing! Hahahahahaha...
What? There's a holster?
Dial gauges are always more accurate & durable than the stick gauges... because the dial gauges have better seals & fine debris can't gum them up.
Download strugillville app on appstore
Gently fondling an automotive tool has inspired me to write a novel...
'Fifty Shades of Grease'.
That mothball smell! Never been all that picky about tire inflators. More so on gauges. Their 9mil nitrile gloves are the bomb! Had a single pair last nearly a week installing a CNC laser. But their airline connectors, they all leak.
XS WHERE ARE YOU?
I think he's having issues with Cosmo, Cosmo want's a raise and Steve is not ready to pay him more Lol.
lmao omg, I have the black one too... And I'm here because I was hoping I was doing something wrong because it's not accurate at all. It's off by about 4psi. So I still have to check my pressure with other cheaper tools! What a fucking disappointment. I'm going to return it. Unfortunately, the price goes up up and up.
All the HFs around here have long lines.
Same here at times. I go during the slow time of the day when I decide to film.
If you just want to see the tool in use jump to 9:30 th-cam.com/video/PCwkZBkA2YY/w-d-xo.html
I do the same. Jump to the point.
That puppet freaked me out a little
That's a FANCY Harbor Freight. Go back - You forgot that LED light that looks like a wall switch.
ArtBeHereNow just bought one yesterday
I have quite a variety of led from there. Looked at that switch light.
Yeah it takes 4 triple A battery’s I’m going back with my free battery pack coupon to stock up. Love harbor freight.
When that piano music started, I expected to hear some of this:
th-cam.com/video/7MmEVWI8Ieo/w-d-xo.html
Too expensive for something that doesn't lock on. Every tried pumping a backhoe tire? That takes like 5 minutes average.
Those inflators are garbage I threw mine out. Fills very slowly and leaks air. I took it apart and it uses non standard fittings on the hose that connects to the air chuck. Buy the Milton!
Mine's fine.
Did you get married again?! She made you get rid of everything, huh?! Changed your whole outlook on life...women will do that.
Peeky Poo?
Peeky Poo to you too
LOL...you nutjob.
Are you on strike ? or just being lazy ? 🤔
