    you can use the overflow to connect another 100 gallon to it via a piece of garden hose to expand to 200 gallons.

      That's a awesome idea! Thanks!

    I got one of these (well a 50 gal one) to help with my prepping. Was wondering how yours is holding up after a year of use??

      Material is still strong! Seems to be a great rain barrel. I added some screen over their screen on the top to keep smaller debris out.

      I'm going to move this one to a different location. Tear Down and cleaning of it would be super easy.

    I just bought two of these from Lowes. How do you hook them together? Thanks for your video. Liked and subbed.

    • @EverDave
      @EverDave  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd do it with PVC over the top of them with one of them slightly elevated over the other. Not sure if there's a better way but possibly.

      @@EverDave I am thinking that the top should be hooked to the bottom of the next. When it overflows then it will start to fill the next one from the bottom up. Does that make sense? I appreciate your prompt reply. Love your channel. Liked and subbed.

      @@momstheword11 Thanks so much forthe sub! I always try to respond as quick as possible.
      It is possible that the lower one would fill up first. So that might not work come to think of it. You want to connect the two overflow ports to each other maybe?

    What kind of a quick connect for the spigot to hose? I cannot find one that works. It simply leaks out.

    What is that kit you used to divert from the down spout? Do you have a link?

      Just in case TH-cam blocked the link, it's also in the description. Thanks again!

      I'm not home right now, but it hasn't filled up much more. I think my drain spout may have gotten plugged

      I think it would be best with other barrels around it. It holds ALOT

      I just set up this exact barrel- imagine my surprise when the heavy rain we got today filled the 100 gallons right up to the top! I can’t even believe it. So when it is full, it sure has the perfect barrel shape!

    How do I connect the drain and the faucet The holes are to small

    • @EverDave
      @EverDave  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean the drain at the bottom to a normal garden hose? If so, I think you need the quick release adapter. I just fill a watering can.

    Can I store drinking water in it? Would it be safe to store in my house?

    • @EverDave
      @EverDave  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmmm. Honestly I'm not sure. It doesn't specify "food Grade" in the description, but if you were to boil the water before using, maybe. Not sure Kerri...

    How the heck you expect to get water in that thing with your hose connected to your drain like that?

    • @EverDave
      @EverDave  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really sure what you mean. It's working fine and installed per the directions of the downspout kit. Maybe yours is different 🤷‍♂️ God Bless

      I removed it from the back patio and will be setting it up behind the shed in my backyard. I think it will do alot better there. It's still in great shape. Thanks for the follow up :)

      I bought three recently. One was an initial purchase and then the other two were bought soon after realizing how quickly the first one filled up. It doesn’t take long to fill at all if you get a good rainfall!
      I will be getting an electric transfer pump to move the water when and where its needed. The zippers are really weak on these and the plastic fitting are really poor quality on the ones I bought. Yours look much better, and a larger diameter too.
