I close my eyes, and I am transported to L'Etoile at the Huntington Hotel with you at the piano ... 30 years ago! You still have the same magic and the power to evince an entire era. Magic-man, play on!
Wow! You are outdoing yourself. Absolutely fabulous with the moving picture stars and your jaunty voice! I love the variety in your song selections. Thank you.
Yes, marian, I was there many a Friday night after the RSJO dances. We all met at L'Etoile and enjoyed Peter at the piano and the whole ambiance of the evening. My God! Has it been that long?
Dear Peter, once again I must tell you how much I enjoy your videos. We are Facebook friends, I am a theater orgainst and know Lyn and many of your friends, however, I have never had the chance to meet you. I own a 7'4" Yamaha, and wish I could learn to use the sostenuto pedal half as well as you. You give me hope that I can produce some of my favorite 20-30's tunes in a better fashion. Thanks for all your posts, best Bill
"Don't tamper with a classic," Excellent advice. I wish more (con)temporary artists would heed it. By the way, some tutorial videos on use of the sostenuto pedal would be greatly appreciated!

Facinating story and wonderful rendition of a cracking old song, 1934 wow!, I think you are great.
Peter, great job! I always think of the Boswells' slowed-down version of this tune... great to hear the original lyrics, too! Bravo!
That brings back fond memories! Thanks, Peter. - Kathryn

Awesome, grand rendition Peter! Thanks for the bit of History :)
Oh, thank you!
Very nice to hear the verse, second chorus, and very nice coda at the end!

The piano is a 1915 Steinway D. Thanks for listening.
What a mastery of the sostenuto pedal you have. I have to practice with it after seeing your superb videos. Is that a "B" or a "D"?
