Hey Adrian, If you hold tsx listed etf in your tfsa that has both Canadian and U.S companies, will you be paying the 15% withholding taxes on the U.S side of the dividend? Thanks
I have been holding THW on my USD portfolio (CEF, which I bought at a very high discount to NAV and is now up 13% for me). Now, it makes more sense to consider the HHL.U for more tax-efficient cash flow. Thanks for this detailed video, Adriano!
My hat is off to Harvest Funds - they’ve done a meticulous job in every aspect of management - plus a solid track record - thank you for your presentation Adrian 👍
Firstly thank you Adrian, I always appreciate the work you do. I kind of don't like it. Look at any of the stocks HHL holds, and so many of them are at astronomical all time highs, yet this only gives 7.38% with very small capital growth. I worry if these companies start dipping or just leveling off in value, what would happen to this fund? Additionally only a 7.3% return since inception. There are way better choices out there. However, I appreciate all of the videos.
You asked great questions, great! I like some of Harvest ETF total performance HHL HTAE, I also like their website updated and they know what I need as a PII investor.
hi Adrian, for a covered call ETF that sells ATM Call options to generate income, what happens in cases when the option gets exercised? does the fund buy back the underlying securities at a higher price? I'm unable to find an answer on this so far, and will really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.
well chances are high they will get exercised. i think the answer is "it depends" the fund manager decides. but typically yes, they need to buy back the shares.... but when and at what price ? that's where active management comes in.
I used to own HHL and still think it a top fund to own but already have enough in my all in one fund HDIF which is my second largest holding just behind HYLD.
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting - (thank you) 👍- for responding back Adrian - but I think I can balance between - HHL & HHLE and have both - in the event - I am unable to satisfy my appetite for - HHLE… / this will probably happen early next year - as I have a massive gain , I’m using for reallocating…
Just to add he is Canadian Orignally There are man American TH-camrs. You will not see any of us complaining instead we Appreciate and embrace eventhough it costs us 15% withholding for regular accounts.(Not RRSP). His content will be Canadian First.
I love Harvest portfolio choices and stable distributions. I own HDIF, HHLE and HTAE and they've all performed really well.
I’ll have a closer looks at Harvest individuals ETF outside of HDIF, good Q & A and fun to have the Harvest team back on the channel !

HDIV is my favorite income fund :) thanks Adriano
@@catherinedesilets8960 HHL is not in HDIV but it’s in HDIF
Will HDIF's yield increase because of this?

Thanks. So in your extensive experience using these ETF funds, in such situations how does it affect the NAV of the ETF?

HHLE - has limited liquidity - for a meaningful investment - can that issue improve ?
well its a smaller fund . its really not an issue IMO. why would it be? use limit orders

Not into it right now, but nice to throw into the mental toolbox.

Lucky us!
Ardian is a Canadian and Canadian's are his primary audience. There are plenty of American TH-camrs for those seeking such content.
Too bad this is not on etrade.
I would buy it. You canadians should share more. :)
its the U.S. brokers the issue, not the fund
