Been using this for a month now. I use it for daily commute to the office to fit my work laptop, Bluetooth headphones, notebook, sunglasses. I ❤ this bag! Versatile, comfortable and convenient. The compartments are smart and easy to find everything I need. Favourite things, the internal bottle holder to keep my Fressko reusable coffee cup in place and that bag strap at the back. Perfect for business travel
Aaron, id love for a "we answer all your questions" type of video! Just something chill where we can submit questions and you and maybe your sister answer them? Whether it be about what fits in a certain bag you own, or a bag rec, or something about Fyro! That would be a 🔥 video, don't you think?
Just got this bag last week. I use it mainly to keep my tech all in one place. It holds my steam deck, Sonos headphones, iPad, cables, etc. The top secret pocket you were talking about fits my Baseus blade power bank and a charging cable. Fits it perfectly.
3:43 - I would argue that PD's proprietary zippers are better than YKK. I own a bunch of Evergoods, Goruck, Aer, Able Carry bags and pouches and none of the zippres run as smooth as the PD ones. Even the non-coated YKKs aren't as smooth as the PD PU coated ones. As for durability, I stuff my PD packing cubes to the point that I need to put all my body weight on top (I kneel on them with both knees) in order to zip them shut, you can see the threads where the panels are sewn together... a harsh look towards them could cause them to burst, and the zippers never failed.
I have this bag and love the small magnetic pocket. I put my EarPods and AirPods in there at the same time. I use this bag for work and plug the EarPods into my laptop for work phone calls or virtual meetings. It’s for those quick things. I’m not as worried about the rain as Aaron is since I have short walks from my car into the offices. Overall, big fan of this bag for the few things I carry. My work laptop is a Dell 15.6” and fits with room to spare.
I’m not a “tote” person but I like this one. I really like the materials and that they came up with their own. I think the small weird pocket would be good for gum?? I think would make a great addition for the plane
Nice review of this new fusion bag from Alpaka. I like the bag overall for its size. Maybe, they should call it a Backpack-VB Case fusion for vertical briefcase. It's not a tote by any stretch.
I've looked at this bag soo many times... It's very tempting.. i also like the osprey Daylite Tote back pack and the TomToc Tote Pack.. which TomToc call the Model A63 for reasons only known to them. 🤪 If only I could afford them all.😂
I have the 12L Metro Backpack in that same green and I loooove it, it's gorgeous and super sturdy, and still stylish. Doesn't have the luggage passthrough, but I have my Aer City Pack if I ever needed that. I commend Alpaka for doing their own thing with Axoflux, I love my 1680D Cordura but it's nice to have choices on the market, especially as they do a fantastic job with their own stuff.
Hey Aaron, Sorry to bug you again but I have a quick question rather than a “Bellroy is peeving me off” comment. ;) Will the Totepack handle a hoodie in the main compartment or the front u-compartment while at the same time holding a tech pouch in the section the hoodie isn’t. I’m thinking fairly “small” hoodies like those from Unbound Merino and Arkteryx. Note: I like the TotePack even with its constraints you highlight because it seems like a great go to the office or coffee shop bag where you sit it beside you and use it like you’d use a drawer in a traditional office. As always I appreciate the help. Cheers, Christopher PS. I was seriously considering the Bravo Tote but it just seems to big as a daily carry for my 5’ 2” frame. I prefer minimal carry anyway. I’m waiting on the CPL 16 to come back into stock as my next pure backpack. I loved the bag I have now but I’ve found getting gear and especially the laptop in and out is optimal so going full clamshell this time around.
Can you suggest a good durable backpack for teachers? Lots of your bag reviews are aiming towards "urban" work thats usually only needs a laptop and some small accesories. Meanwhile teachers usually brings laptop, a thick file folder, some books, lots of stationaries, gadgets, microphone, portable speakers, gym wear, umbrella and 1L bottle. I have a 35L Jansport that fits everything I mentioned and is sturdy, but its killing my back.
sounds like you just need a larger tech backpack - this one is very small. Aer Travel Pack 3 is 35 liters and should be perfect for all your stuff. Also the Able Carry Max (30L) & Alpaka Elements Travel Backpack (35L) could be good picks.

Thanks for the frate review Aaron! Maybe i missed the info in the video, but does the laptop and tablet sleeve have a false bottom? I'm deciding between this alpaka and the mous daypack wich one will be my Daily backpack for work. Which one do u suggest? Thank u so much!
thanks so much! Can't really go wrong with either bag, I'm not sure about the false bottom as I don't have the bag with me right now. Maybe reach out to Alpaka customer support to double check with them. Aside from that, just go with your gut!

Can you do a video on the best EDC clamshell opening bags with a laptop compartment separate from the main compartment? I have one from Bellroy - it's a solid bag but the straps and lack of back ventilation are just not doing it for me.
that could be the most specific request I've ever gotten, but I love the idea! Truth be told we probably won't ever get to that but I can suggest a few for you here. I have the Alpaca hub carabiner and it is not possible to change the key from leash to carabiner. That is really anoying. What is an eco system good for, if it is not utilised everywhere?
I don't think that the development of their own materials will lead to more people buying a company's bag. What I do think is that they should come up with some fun colours! I can't see these black/blue/olive options anymore... Some fun accents at least.
Would be a buy from me if this bag didnt have the tote mode. Im really not sure theres much need for it, especially since you cant go over the shoulder with it. May as well just have a small standard handle on the top instead. The tote handles just look stupid
I really don't understand this type of "hybrid" bag. They look stupid with the tote handles, have awkward proportions/dimensions for a tote and compromised functionality, especially as a tote in this case. Seems like a manufactured niche simply for the sake of creating something else/different to try to sell customers on.
I get that it's not your cup of tea, but if you look through these comments you'll see many people think it looks great (myself included) so there's clearly demand for this type of design

its a VERY solid 13L bag
I like the custom fabric but I would like them to be more specific because they have multiple variations of the axoflux
they do, they still seem to be developing/perfecting it
