@@CurrentlyRockhounding Yes, that's what they say. In truth there isn't the variety of geological minerals here as you have there. We do the best we can with what we have, and that's it. If you have enough time, you can look at Teesdale, North East England, my part of this big world ! Lead Mining was the thing in the Upper River Valley, along with some other industrial minerals.
I love all the different locations you guys go to, and the many rocks and minerals you set out to find, a true rockhound who likes to share the experience.
Your video's are so calming. The beautiful scenery, Sarah's calm demeanor, your pace that you talk and move. Such good company as I am making Sunday dinner.
I like how you're making sure to show Sara and the dog at the beginning of your videos. It's always great to see the beautiful locations you visit and your great finds and learn more about different rocks. Thank you!
Thanks for the tip. I often find golph balls while rockhounding. I don't golph and was going to throw them out but now I have several round to it's to carve 😁
Wow you must have an incredible mike. There was only one spot where there was a little bit of wind noise. Some of those specimens are actually more striking with the iron staining.
I love your videos, been keeping up with yours and a few other for mybe 3 years now. By sharing your videos, You've help me with fact about things I didn't know about. How dumb! 🤔 It's all about camen sent for the most part. I hope you all the best, 👌 👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for finding my ball, I hooked it something fierce off the third tee but was hoping it'd still be in a playable lie! In golf you always gotta believe that you're just one swing away from magic~ On another note, other than the wind to help clear out the smoke, it looked like a really nice day to go explore and hunt goodies!👀 Thanks for sharing the adventure sir, hope you have a nice rest of your week~👍 PS. Gonna float over on the John Day past Fossil this weekend, should be nice!
Wow! That view was postcard perfect. Interesting black crystals, no doubt. Another excellent spot you've taken us to. Great specimens you brought home too! Look forward to some closeup photos.
There's more up there on the surface that we passed on and more if you want to dig for them but with so many cool rocks and minerals out there I'm not sure when we will being going back to this location.
What beautiful views! You three are not so bad either. I like you were able to find all those crystal plates there. I can't wait to see what they were. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
I do enjoy your videos. I am in Egypt right now but it is so covered with limestone and sandstone that I’m having difficulty finding rocks. The two that I did find are spectacular (I think) but I don’t know much.
I'm happy you enjoy the videos. I really know nothing about the geology of Egypt, but my quick glance at the Macrostrat website shows me that you have a number of geological systems and fault lines which could be worth researching more.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I seem to be flooded with ideas lately to help others. I was told my gift was helps. Glad to be. I hope to be much more. Your a great rock tuber(:

I can tell you, from where I'm sitting in England, it's totally fascinating to see your part of the world.
The grass is always greener! I would love to see England someday.

I try to always include that when I'm able to to.

Thanks for coming by to watch.

Brilliant view, some good pieces, they must have been finding some great stuff to dig that deep. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
It really is a bunch of effort to move this amount of rock.
Nice place for rock hounding.
Oh yeah! I just wish we had time for some proper digging. But we shall return at some point.
The inside of golf balls is sometimes used by carvers. It carves well.

Nice view from my office computer! lol Thanks for sharing.
It's a lovely location.

Wow you must have an incredible mike. There was only one spot where there was a little bit of wind noise. Some of those specimens are actually more striking with the iron staining.
It does have a HUGE fuzzy ball on it to cut down the wind noise.
I love the harder to get to rough road Rockhounding locations.
We got plenty of those!

I think that golf ball will tumble nicely.
Ha!
I always wonder, “How the heck did this get here?!”
That fire 🔥🔥🔥 is a big one now!! Thanks for taking us along! Amazing views !
I'm happy the season is starting to taper off out here.
The golf ball was a bonus
👏👏 happy to join you today…!
Ready to virtually dig your way…got my boots and pick ready…🥾🥾⛏
“hummm hand gliding”… I’m ready
It would be an amazing place to hang glide from.

I want to go back there just to camp out.

Beautiful views and fun to see the crystal plates you got. Thanks for taking us along.
A quick google of Chelan Butte.. and 2 minutes later, I'm like, I would hound there!
Yeah its super pretty.

Some fantastic views there! The world’s on fire… Let’s go find some cool rocks! 👍🏼🤷🏻♂️😂
Pretty much!
What tremendous views! Can't wait to learn what the black crystals are.
first?
🏆 you are first…👏👏
Lol I haven't seen one of these comments in a really long time.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Had to be that guy, for old times sake
Great work Andrew, you deserve a medal.🥇 Didn't realize i was that late? "I don't feel tardy!" 🤷♂️😂
@@BackcountrywithShaughn I am def the tardy one LOL
Did you ever go back and "investigate it further"? I want to know if there are bigger crystals up there.
We have not been back since filming this video.
I remember seeing years ago on Mindat that there were uranium prospects in that area. I wonder if this mineralization is associated.
If I had the money for a really sensitive Geiger counter I would love to check some these areas.
There are a few old mining claims on Chelan Butte, curious that pit is one of them?
My understanding which might be wrong is that the old claims in the area are all gold.
So, other than saying "oooh pretty!" and piling them up all over the house, what else does everyone do with the rocks they slice open?
I give a lot, if not most of my finds away. I like the idea other people finding happiness in them.
Hears possible flourite....packs bags to go dig
Please send me some photos if you go!
You have an incredible knack for identification. Would make a good video trying to discover what that black crystal is, with us.
And I never met anyone who wraps rocks but me. I get poked fun of by the other members of our club. Foil, brilliant.
I think I will do just that!
Foil is the way to do it!

Hmm. I wonder how many rocks I can carry on a hang glider. 😁😄😂🤣
One way to find out!
Thanks for the video :). What do you recommend for cleaning those kinds of crystals?
These cleaned up pretty nicely with some Ironout.
Beautiful area , very cool I’m excited to check this place out, gotta wait for the fires to get out first darn , thank you for sharing 😊💙
I know.... Fire season this year has really thrown a wrench in our plans.
Can you really see us? You always say, "See you on the next video." I don't believe you can see us. If you can, I want to know what camera your using.
Shhhh my special camera is a secret.
No to hand gliding, I’ll stick with rocks.
The view is good from the top but think how much better it would be from the sky.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding nope. 😆
Black crystals mentioned but no ID back at the shop?
That will be for a later video.
